Vienna is different! With an Australian culinary outpost located in the heart of the city. Go down into the world of down under - we serve exotic titbits such as tender ostrich and kangaroo steaks or fried grasshoppers in the middle of an Australian opal mine. Here you can also have the juiciest burgers and beefsteaks. Along with the meals, we also serve a superior selection of Australian wines and great Aussie beers including Fosters, Ayers Rock Red, VB, James Boags, Coopers to name but a few.

If you want to feel like you're in Australia, come to Crossfield's. The bartenders are incredibly friendly, and for pub cuisine, the food is very good. The bar also features a decent selection of Australian beer, which had me drooling with downunder nostalgia.

On a previous visit, I had walked by this pub and thought I would give it a try. Sadly, on that visit, I ran out of time, so I made a mental note to stop by on my November 2014 trip. And I'm glad I did. I arrived mid-afternoon, so it wasn't busy. It's a bit touristy, but the beer... More

Relaxed pub with good beer and great food, inspired in australian and international dishes. The nachos as a starter is great confort food, a meal for itself. The lamb and kanguru meat were delicious, with well prepared vegetables. Great. It seems that you can also just go for a beer as the environment is quite relaxed.

Had a great waiter who was good craic! There was a decent selection of beers, and they even cater to any UK/Ireland people who for whatever reason craved fosters or magners/bulmers style ciders. Take a seat and wait to be served by staff.

Went there with some colleagues from work. Very good food and beer. We mostly ate burgers and were more than happy with the quality and taste. The atmosphere is good also, just as expected from an australian pub. Service was a bit slower than I like, but that is subjective and I quite like fast service. Smokers area is not... More

Had a pint of Australian beer, not Fosters, and visited with a very nice bartender. Only a few customers during my visit and was able to get some good local information. Two large TVs were airing the Cardinals baseball game. Should have tried lunch but was on a tight schedule. The menu listed kangaroo burgers and kangaroo fajitas! Okay, not... More

Being Australian born and living in europe for more than 25 years, running into this place on my Vienna trip was a pleasant surprice. I went for the simple fish and chips and nachos with cheese. Fantastic! The genuine interior and fantastic staff makes this place a don't miss it destination.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
