Vienna is different! With an Australian culinary outpost located in the heart of the city. Go down into the world of down under - we serve exotic titbits such as tender ostrich and kangaroo steaks or fried grasshoppers in the middle of an Australian opal mine. Here you can also have the juiciest burgers and beefsteaks. Along with the meals, we also serve a superior selection of Australian wines and great Aussie beers including Fosters, Ayers Rock Red, VB, James Boags, Coopers to name but a few.

This place is on The top of price-performance scale. If you are interested in different tastes try mixed one which includes Crocodile, kangoroo and grasshopers. If you are not it is still ok, Thé others are really good and well served. Place seems like an ordinary pub but downstairs you can sit with your group of friends, eat your Dinner... More

Right next to the tourist information office in downtown Vienna so it was hard to miss. I think we were the only aussies there but at least the waiter was married to a kiwi. I suppose it is worth going tomespecially if you have been away fot a while and needed to hear an aussie accent. Beer was ok some... More

If you want to drink a good beer and try a cangaroo burger you should go to Crossfield's. I suggest that you take your burger rare - that is the best way to taste it.

We were going under, not down under, from all the walking we were doing and fancied a drink. This place was ideal. It was quite busy but the bar staff were friendly and it did the job. We didn't eat here though.

Dropped in on finding this, next to the Tourist Information point in Vienna. Great array of classic Australian dishes, I went for the Kangaroo Burger as these are usually awful in Britain but here was perfectly cooked (rare=medium in Vienna/Slovakia so careful if you like meat well done!) Best Skippy burger Ive had, mixed with traditional Aussie drinks selecetion.

Seems that the restaurant is based on the unique meat it has kenguru and crocodile Unfortunately the grillman is killing it even to the beef, all meat came very dry and there is no other word but bad The cook just know killed it Service was great and very hospitable

Found this place to escape the snow - glad we did!! As we are Australians who now reside in Europe, thought we would check out their "Aussie" menu. I did cook a lot of kangaroo when we were in Sydney and as I have been missing it, I decided to order the kangaroo fillets. It was so good - very... More

Tried the variety of beer and the kangaroo steak. Food was great and service was excellent while we sat by the bar. The bartender was very efficient while serving food and beverages to everyone.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
