Hardly a great view - more a different aspect.

Any place on top of a department store must give you warning signs. The view is the only reason to come here. Is is wide and open and the closeness to St. Stephens makes that impressive but the service price and food all leave a lot to be desired.

We got a table outside on a beautiful sunny evening. The drinks were good as was the service. However, the view is average at best. You look out over a sea of air conditioning units, satellite dishes and grey boring rooftops. The atmosphere isn't great either. Overall I would recommend that you go to a better cocktail bar that isn't... More

I went at sunset and could admire the Vienna skyline, The bar is not that high but I could really appreciate drawing in the tiles of St Stephan Cathedral and that worthed the visit. It is a little expensive and the aperol was not that good . I found the entrance thanks to the directions from a local fellow, the... More

When you go to Vienna you stroll around for hours and hours because there is a lot to see so afterwards you need to take sometime to relax in a place with a nice view, good service and delicious food or a nice long coctail in the evening. This is the place. If you go on the weekends you might... More

Came here for a drink and coffee, no intention to eat. Wasn't expecting much apart from a relaxed atmosphere and great views. Exactly what we got. However, for a high-end restaurant/bar (as it was suggested) the service is lacking. Some staff paid no attention to us and when we asked for assistance with ordering drinks there was not much attention... More

Good place to grab a drink and snacks. Not much of a view; mostly rooftops. Schnitzel was very good! Good service as well.

Although it seemed that it would be a nice spot to grab a bite or have a coffee, it is absolutely overpriced for what it offers... There is no good view of the city, the coffee isn't excellent (as it should be for the 5€ that it costs) and they also charge the 250ml bottle of water for 4€!!! It... More

My wife and I attended for a few after dinner drinks. Although the bar was all but empty the waiter would not let us in until we paid to check our coats, both were small cardigans. When we got inside we found that most people were still wearing theirs (did i mention i had to pay to check them in).... More

We went in during the day for a bit of a drink and a sit down. The view over Vienna is nice, better in the non-smoking bar, however we thought the atmosphere was better in the smoking bar (and we don't even smoke). We had a couple of rounds, the waiter was polite and attentive. My girlfriend was particularly impressed... More

Besides the overpriced small and tasteless dishes, the waiters are nose pointed an rude. Several complains around me..... The view is nice, though!

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
