I had lunch with friends at this restaurant. As it's recommended by my Viennese friend, I was pleasantly surprised that Schnitzel tastes really good. It's also good to experience family and local atmosphere there. The staff was very attentive and helpful, although there's no English menu. Overall, it's highly recommended for tourists who want to experience authentic Schnitzel and Kalbs... More

Restaurant looks lovely from outside and decor is muted tones- classic and understated classy! Waiters possibly the friendliest in Vienna ?!! Children welcome. Great relaxed atmosphere. Food traditional- not gourmet but wonderful home cooked style food. Presented well and tastes delicious !! May have to come back for breakfast tomorro?!

I've only ever been to the Wortner for dinner once and that was all right (i.e. the food was good, the service was OK, the price a was a little steep, but I was starving and needed some meat there and then!). On the other hand, I've been to Wortner a couple of times for breakfast already, and every time... More

We enjoyed our visit to Wortner's during our trip to Vienna. Had a good dinner of schnitzel for me and gnocchi with beef for Penny, 2 glasses of house red followed by coffee and dessert for about 55 euros. Service from the waitress was a little frosty (not good English perhaps?) but the owner (we presume) was very helpful and... More

We ate here last night and had a great time. The atmosphere was good (was really busy), the food was different but really tasty and the staff were extremely friendly. Very quick service. We would definitely return here.

It's charming inside and, during the Spring and Summer, nice to sit outside. There is really only 1-2 servers working all of the tables, but if you are patient and have the time, it's worth the wait. My daughter can't live without the potato soup, and, for a lite fare, the ham and cheese panini is great. There is a... More

We like to go there for breakfast on weekends. Even though is located on a street with quite busy traffic the fountain and small kind of garden in front of it makes you feel relaxed and dreamy. They have a delicious cottage cheese pie and melange coffee. Sometimes we take their wiener fruhstuck, which is also very energizing.

While being "on the street" near a wide boulevard like Wiedener HauptStrasse (lots of tram movement) it is a quiet and friendly place to seat outside and enjoy a great meal or just a cup of coffee. Be aware that the menu in English is not up-to-date with the current menu in German and the specials are written in German... More

We accidentally found this cafe, wandering in Haupstrasse and we enjoyed our coffee outside on a sunny morning. The staff was really friendly. We didn't eat there , but the food looked really nice!!
