“Great place with a friendly atmosphere - Definately recommend!”

I've been here for the first and for sure not last time. I had Daily Deal voucher and always on such ocassions I'm watching carefully if the restaurant team give me the feeling beeing "second-rate" guest. I had a small lunch. The food was Ok but the service could be more attentive. The restaurant has a terrace allowing outdoor seating.

I've been in Vienna for five nights and went here on the fifth and final night. To put it into context the previous evenings I dined at Fig Muller, Plachutta, and Glacis Biesl. They were all better experiences than the one I had at Five Senses. The restaurant looks very nice and is well presented - be aware it's attached... More

Interesting idea, but really depends on what you order. Some dishes tasty others not so much. Ok price wise. Not crowded. Went with colleagues but would not go again. A bit too wierd for me.

Booking a table here was a spontaneous decision and we did not regret this. The menu sounds unusual, however, the combination of the ingredients and the presentation says it all. We were very agreeably surprised by the food, the service was excellent, prices are democratic, we surely can recommend this place!

The service is excellent. They have a very unique cuisine. There, you will certainly find a dish that will suit your taste. My plate was meat and you didn't need the knife to cut it, you just had to separate the pieces with the fork. The taste was enduring but soft. Really superb. Our desserts were creme bruillet with mango... More

We came by just to try out one of the Hackl Gastro restaurants, and, of course, it could be worse, but, to be honest, one expects much more considering the price range that Five Senses has. Food was too salty, waiters apparently were preparing for the Ballet "Sleeping Beauty", because waiting for each dish lasted a little bit over than... More

Our seven course meal on Christmas Eve was a disaster. The service was as bad as I have had with one woman trying to service a full restaurant with four bar tenders helping occasionally. We never had the same person bring us the courses and had LONG waits between the seven courses. The food was mostly pretty but average and... More

We made reservations at this location, very happy to have found a full service location that was open on Christmas Eve. We were traveling from TN, so weren't sure just how many options we would have. We arrived at the restaurant, only to find it is nothing more than the extended breakfast bar area. We were seated in tiny banquettes... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
