Lovely food and out-of-centre location.

As part of a group of 30+, I dined at Pfarrwirt and was thoroughly impressed. The evening began out in the picturesque courtyard with canapés, mini-Wiener Schnitzel and glühwein before heading inside for dinner. Lovely warm surrounding and traditional Austrian food and wine – they even managed to... read more

OK, so this is where Beethoven lived, well across the street. Wonderful restaurant and a must dine if you are in Vienna. From service to them having their own vineyard and excellent food its a home run

We had lunch here as a party of 9 and the service and food were both terrific. Our cousin lives down the street and he is a regular at this establishment. I let him order for me since being an American and wanting an authentic Austrian meal was my preference, I trusted his judgement and he chose well. We all... More

we come here almost every week-as a couple, with friends, with the family. it's a must see for everyone! the service is excellent, the food always perfect-mostly typical austrian. the ambiente inside and outside is cozy and you have a nice view from inside. make sure to reserve in advance especially during the weekend.

We had a business wine tasting here. The person talking about the wine did not keep the crowd engaged and interested. The atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant is also nice and service was very fast, however the waiters were not too attentative. We had 3 dishes, beef, fish and vegetarian. I chose beef and it was hard and not... More

I was invited to this restaurant by Viennese people who eat here often. It is in the heurigen district (19th), so not in the centre of town, but the ambience is wonderful. I was there for Sunday lunch and we started our meal in the shady courtyard. Just as were about to be served the dessert, the heavens opened up... More

Pfarrwirt is one of, if not the, oldest restaurants in Vienna. It's tucked away in an unlikely place, making it feel almost rural. There are two or three warm, cozy rooms with lots of wood and interesting art. We were in a big group, so it's hard to judge the service -- they just had to keep the operation moving.... More

Over 30 of us had dinner at the Pfarrwirt during a company business trip. We started in the beautiful courtyard garden (where we had tasty canapés, mini - Wiener Schnitzel finger food and hot punch. We were then treated to five courses in the lovely interior (the Trout strudel was a treat, as were the Austrian wines). Terrific service in... More

Referred by our local colleague, our party of 30+ from around the World had a grand time at dinner. Ambiance, food and service were all top notch. A cocktail in the courtyard followed by dinner inside a semi-private room and we immediately felt "at home" in Vienna. Gruner Veltiner wine, cream of asparagus soup, grilled filet of pike perch, guinea... More

Staying in Dobling

Neighborhood Profile
Dobling
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
