I was invited to this restaurant by Viennese people who eat here often. It is in the heurigen district (19th), so not in the centre of town, but the ambience is wonderful. I was there for Sunday lunch and we started our meal in the shady courtyard. Just as were about to be served the dessert, the heavens opened up... More

As part of a group of 30+, I dined at Pfarrwirt and was thoroughly impressed. The evening began out in the picturesque courtyard with canapés, mini-Wiener Schnitzel and glühwein before heading inside for dinner. Lovely warm surrounding and traditional Austrian food and wine – they even managed to make a humble soup delicious! Difficult to judge the service as we... More

Pfarrwirt is one of, if not the, oldest restaurants in Vienna. It's tucked away in an unlikely place, making it feel almost rural. There are two or three warm, cozy rooms with lots of wood and interesting art. We were in a big group, so it's hard to judge the service -- they just had to keep the operation moving.... More

Over 30 of us had dinner at the Pfarrwirt during a company business trip. We started in the beautiful courtyard garden (where we had tasty canapés, mini - Wiener Schnitzel finger food and hot punch. We were then treated to five courses in the lovely interior (the Trout strudel was a treat, as were the Austrian wines). Terrific service in... More

Referred by our local colleague, our party of 30+ from around the World had a grand time at dinner. Ambiance, food and service were all top notch. A cocktail in the courtyard followed by dinner inside a semi-private room and we immediately felt "at home" in Vienna. Gruner Veltiner wine, cream of asparagus soup, grilled filet of pike perch, guinea... More

We have made a booking on the phone, 3 persons, non-smoking. Arriving there (beautiful house, authentic interior) we were not welcomed by anybody at the door. A waiter passed by and WE had to address him. "Hallo! We have a reservation!" He kind of guided us to the dinign hall. He didnt say "pelase follow me" or something so we... More

This restaurant is somewhat out of the way however, easily accessible by public transportation. Loved the location, you felt as though in the country side. The food was excellent and the service was prompt. I found that for a higher-end restaurant the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend a visit here. They claim to have been Beethoven's favourite... More

We had heard good things about the restaurant, so took the tram from Schottentor up to Nussdorf and then a short walk to the restaurant. It was a late lunch so the restaurant was not crowded and service was winding down. The room was very pleasant, the food excellent, the service quite good. And of course there was an excellent... Not easy to get to - but worthwhile! We were there with 20 people during an exhibition in Vienna and they prepared an excellent menue for us: great appetizers, varieties of main courses and an excellent Viennese desert. Their own wines (Gruener Veltliner (white), Zweigelt (red)) are very good and easy to drink. This Heurigen has the regular local food... More

Note, this is the restaurant and note the heuriger located just next door. Came mid-afternoon so there was no crowd, but a number of tables with folk having a slow lazy lunch and drinks. Atmosphere was relaxed and 5 of us sat at a huge square table for 8 persons. We had sausages, and chicken cutlet and beef steak. This... More
