Description: Many restaurants can boast lovely views here in Vienna, where almost everything is beautiful, however Der Neue Donaurtum takes views to the next level. 165 metres above the ground this restaurant offers the most stunning views and its not as if you could miss it either. Towering over the city this observation tower slowly rotates, endlessly offering new outlooks. But that doesnt mean the interior has been forgotten, simple and classic in simple whites, stripes and wood, the dining room allows the view and the food to speak more loudly. The short but sweet menu centres around the delicate traditions of Viennese cooking accompanied by fine wines.

I booked the restaurant at the top of the Danube Tower as a surprise for my partners birthday, its quite far out from the centre and is a good walk from the nearest station but we eventually made it. Once we arrived we explained we had a reservation only to find we had to pay to enter before we could... More

Amazing restaurant , food is good but the most impressive is view. Restaurant is moving slowly all the time around the tower. So if you have a problem with this (as I do) with this it could be disturbing. But place is impressive and its is worth to try. Service very good and I think its one of the most... More

This restaurant is one of a kind. It is found at the very top of the tower and it rotates giving one the opportunity to admite Vienna from up high. We went in the evening and the view was breathtaking. The restaurant was also equipped for young kids as we went with a one year old and a two year... More

252 meters above Vienna, fine view to the landscape, staff did their best but definitely there could be more of them at least during rush hours.

The food was great. The desert - 'flower pot' was absolutely amazing. The service was slow and the two waitresses looked overworked, but then again you don't go to this revolving restaurant with stunning views of vienna for a quick meal. Each rotation takes 30 minutes. It is reasonably priced and worth a visit.

Go when the sun is setting and watch the city lights come on and reflect in the sparkling Danube. Chocolate mousse and Backhendl (Austrian fried chicken)

After enjoying a wander round the park and a ride on the miniature railway, we decided to have lunch at the top of the tower, in the revolving cafe/restaurant. The staff were friendly & efficient, and the food was ok. I had a sandwich with chicken pieces and salad, and my wife had a mixed salad with pieces of lean... More

This seems to be something of a hidden Gem in Vienna. It was completely devoid of tourists the entire time we were there. The only groups were school children. The donauturm itself is quite spectacular. Then the great meal in the restaurant for an all inclusive price made for a nice day trip on the subway and trip up the... More
