Many restaurants can boast lovely views here in Vienna, where almost everything is beautiful, however Der Neue Donaurtum takes views to the next level. 165 metres above the ground this restaurant offers the most stunning views and its not as if you could miss it either. Towering over the city this observation tower slowly rotates, endlessly offering new outlooks. But that doesnt mean the interior has been forgotten, simple and classic in simple whites, stripes and wood, the dining room allows the view and the food to speak more loudly. The short but sweet menu centres around the delicate traditions of Viennese cooking accompanied by fine wines.

The price of the elevator to reach the restaurant is pricey, but once that you're there, you're gonna have the best view of the town! Imagine yourself sitting at a table, next to a giant circular window wall from where you can see Vienna. And then, you see the place rotating with you! That was absolutely amazing!

You must try this restaurant. It is a little bit expensive, but not so much. In return you have the 360° view of the city.

Incredible views if Vienna. Fantastic lunch from attentive staff. Great experience and the local wine and bubbles were delicious too. Prebook to avoid disappointment. The lift is chargeable to the top regardless of booking in restaurant. Worth every penny delightful time and meal. Highly recommended x x

I had planned a special trip to Vienna for our 20th wedding anniversary, and booked this Restaurant for the evening meal. It was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived we saw how spectacular the view was, and then we were treated to both perfect service from the waiting staff and food that was just stunning. Our waiter assisted in... The view was great and being at the restaurant meant that we didn't have to deal with the tour group downstairs in the cafe. They were also fabulous with our 2.75 year old son. A full revolution seems to take 20 minutes. Get onto their website and make a booking/ reservation as it is really worth it.

My wife and I visited the restaurant on our last day in Vienna. The tower was easily accesible by foot. We had made a reservation the previous day for a 2 course gourme meal with 21,90 (ride with the lift included). The view is astonishing! The tower rotates constantly and the view of tour table is always different! The atmosphere,... More

Fantastic view. I know that it is just a tourist attraction but the feeling you get by dinning in that restaurant can't be described. A bit overpriced but it is something you don't experience often.

I made a reservation for four persons, using the offer "Tower up - Price down!" for EUR 18,50 for each person. For this amount of money we got: Lift + Drink + Main course + cake. The food was good, we ordered two Austrian breaded chicken, two Wild boar ragout with bread dumplings, four Sacher cake with whipped cream, two... More

We visited the revolving cafe at the Donauturm. On public transport, it is a bit of a trek to get to, but well worth the effort, especially on a clear day. Once at the tower, travel up on the super-fast lift, (with a lighted view of the lift-shaft above your head), until you reach the viewing platforms or the revolving... More
