Many restaurants can boast lovely views here in Vienna, where almost everything is beautiful, however Der Neue Donaurtum takes views to the next level. 165 metres above the ground this restaurant offers the most stunning views and its not as if you could miss it either. Towering over the city this observation tower slowly rotates, endlessly offering new outlooks. But that doesnt mean the interior has been forgotten, simple and classic in simple whites, stripes and wood, the dining room allows the view and the food to speak more loudly. The short but sweet menu centres around the delicate traditions of Viennese cooking accompanied by fine wines.

Lovely sunset and great food

Really nice restaurant, not overpriced despite its location. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Menu was nice but could have done with a bit more choice.

A restaurant on a high tower ( over 150m high ) that you have to reach by a fast lift. It goes round slowly ( each turn takes 26 minutes ) to see beautiful views of Vienna. Nice service and reasonable prices.

We got to the Danube Tower by chance, because we our initial plans did not turn out good.... But we are totally happy with this change of plans because visiting the Danube Tower and having a meal in the revolving restaurant turned out to be one of the best experiences in Vienna. What can I say about the view... just... More

We were less than impressed with this site as Thea staff seems to be very biased towards Germanic people's. We waited 45 minutes and had to flag waitress down to get any service while observing Austrian and other Germanic people being promptly waited upon. I will not waste another Euro on this place in the future.

Not many people (even those living in Vienna) know that there is a revolving restaurant in Danube Tower. You should make a reservation a few days before you go there. The prices are not that high, they are affordable; however you anyway have to pay to get on the tower (7 euro per person). It is really romantic- you see... More

You don't need to have lunch or dinner ther to enjoy the views. The food wasn't special, just average and 'planned for tourists' it's expensive and you have to go upstairs to access the restaurant as the elevator doesn't reach the restaurant floor.

This is defintely NOT the tourist trap you would expect to find at such a place. The formal rotating restaurant was chosen by my local hosts for a business dinner. In addition to the perfect view over Vienna and its surroundings on this clear summer night, the food was also very good. The small menu features mostly viennese specialities (Schnitzel,... More

After long walk via Donaupark, visiting the Danube Tower observation terrace, we found a good place to relax at Donauturm revolving restaurant. Eiskaffee with city view at 170 meter above the ground - it was amazing

You should expect a tourist trap with bland food and uncommitted staff in this rotating resturant 170 m over street level. But NO! - this was a really lovely experience and we didn't feel "trapped" for a second! You should order a table in advance. The restaurant has slightly outdated decorating and furniture, but is still charming. It har fabric... More
