I had a wonderful lunch with my wife in this restaurant. The Lobster bisque is super. We ordered the Spanish Pork and a fish. The Spanish Pork is so tender and tastes good. Fish is also well cooked. Followed by the excellent Carrot Cake and an espresso to end the perfect meal.

It was just a correct business meal, not more, I was somehow deceived as I have experienced much better meals at this place, before, and then with the lady-Chef Jacqueline (she had already left at the time of our visit). Since its first years, Le Ciel used to be one of our family's favorite culinary excursions, our palates were "almost... More

I spent three days and three nights in Vienna. Le Ciel was by far the best meal I ate there. Food, service, and ambiance were excellent.

Traditionally on Ash Wednesday at the beginning of Lent there is a final feast . predominantly with fish specialties they offered an exquisite buffet and served dinner in traditional Viennese Style but also with a Japanese Corner to be recommended but quite expensive

As a regulary guests of this outstanding place, we could not miss the oppurtunity of spending Valentine's Day evening there. And it was definitely the best choice! The team settled a special four course menu full of tasty and interessting dishes. But they were nice and helpful in adding one more course and in finding other food possibilities for me... More

This time instead of the two of us, my wife and I were joined by two other dicerning couples, at our recommendation. All came away saying it was the best meal to date in Austria. We went for lunch so we could "graze" through the 13 Euro menu. The scallop with cauliflower, two ways was wonderful as was the creamy... More

I am a big lover of a posh meal - places that offer a tasting menu are my all time favorite - and this is the place to go if you're after great tasting food that's displayed like a piece of art with a waiter that would cut it up for you if you asked (not that you would, but... More

This is a seriously classy joint! Food and service absolutely impeccable, as was the choice of wine suggested with the food. Worth every penny of the quite large bill!

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
