First night in Vienna, what a find!

this was a great find from our front desk at Kaiserin Elisabeth Hotel. Wonderful menu, very traditional northern Italian, lot's of options, including white asparagus as it is seasonal in the region, big wine list - you can spend a lot, but it has reasonable choices as well, nice wait staff. This centrally located restaurant features an elegant italian food style of high quality The service is good the atmosphere is old fashioned but not too inviting . The exeption is the restaurant part in the basement - vaulted ceilings crude brik walls murano chandeliers ... Interesting

We saw this restaurant on Trip Advisor and just walked in. We were greeted in a friendly way and seated immediately. The service was excellent and the (Italian) menu contained good variety Our food was excellent quality and well presented. We had mains and delicious desserts. We would go again any time. Why only four stars? Prices were a little... More

I just walked into Danieli for a quick dinner by myself, which I do very seldom. But I was very pleased with the way I was treated - without a reservation - from the time I walked in to the time I left. The host and the wait staff were warm and friendly and I enjoyed my dinner immensely.

Nice place and service. But..... Too expensive for the quality given. Rissoto was too strong (dind't let wine evaporate) and over cooked. The pizza was expensive for it's quality. The bottle of water costed nearly 7euros!

the restaurant has a big variety of Italian dishes well cooked and presented by a friendly ,polite and efficient waiters. The choice is big ,starting with excellent antipasti, well prepared pasta ,pizza and my favorite dish, veal piccata. The sweets are Italian and the tiramisu was fresh. The wine list is extensive, well chosen and overpriced. The ambience is cosy and friendly. The... More

My family of 5 (including a 2, 5, 10 yo) came across this restaurant off the Graben after arriving in Vienna after a long drive. Anyone traveling with young children can appreciate the need to balance less familiar, local cuisine with more familiar styles - like Italian when traveling. The service was fine - they did well with my children.... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
