Busy and popular Italian restaurant

Nice atmosphere and good food, good service and centrally located. Would definitely recommend but suggest booking as it was very busy.

It was recommended by my partner. Will definitely go back, and if I lived in Vienna, I would certainly become a regular. Friendly staff, loads of atmosphere and authentic Italian cuisine.

Danieli is our favourite place for a nice evening out. I love the atmosphere and the decor in the restaurant. Charming little candle lit tables, excellent food and polite and quick personnel. We have been here several times and never been disappointed. Vine card is excellent, just as the limoncello. The dishes specifically the seafood is always freshly made with... More

Their behavior is unacceptable. We ordered one liter of House wine and they charged us 45 euro. They charged us not as a liter but as 10 glasses of 4,5 euro each. If they try to get money in this way they are going to loose the customers and their reputation.

We had a late Christmas lunch/early dinner here and greatly enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and staff! The ribeye was one of the best we've had in months. It was a nice place for a date but we saw lots of families also there.

We have been very disappointed by the restaurant Danieli. The pasta (orecchiette) gave the impression of being bought at the supermarket and quickly warmed up in a microwave oven. The gnocchi were slightly better but with a ratio quality/price very low. Service slow and impersonal. We recommend to avoid this restaurant.

Service is very good fast and friendly surely food is also good. however, I felt like being in a city centre tourist trap which is unusual for Vienna. entire menu (food and drinks) is overpriced. For a pizzeria in Wine city centre I think everything was at least 20% more expensive. I recommend you look for somewhere else if you... More

Good ambiance. They were busy but sat us at a free table. Ordered pizza, soup, chicken salad for 2 adults, 2 kids. Pizza was good. Salad and soup excellent. Tomato soup fresh. Lunch, 2 wines, 2 sodas plus 1.50 euro seating fee per person was total of 56 euro. We would go back.

We made the mistake of eating here on Christmas Eve. Reservations were made for 7:30. The head guy told us we had the table till 9. I guess they were going to throw us out after 9. Everything is a la carte and not cheap. We each got a caesar salad. It was a disappointment...just hunks of iceberg lettuce and... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
