Wienerscnitzel is maybe the food you avoid at home, but here in this restaurant you might just take it in the package: in the garden or in the keller, a pleasant walk from the Stephan's church, in a relaxed atmosphere (by the way - enjoy looking at the healthy-living propaganda on the walls in the garden while waiting for your... We had lunch here together with our 16 month old daughter. Positive is that the sitting outside is in a courtyeard so safe for kids to run around. They also had high chair. The food was good and the also brought just steamed veggies for our daughter when we asked for it. The negative was that after studying that day's... More

This restaurant has a very charming, quiet outside courtyard cafe and a historical interior. We had simple salads with meat in the outside courtyard and were well satisfied with both food and service. Two salads (with meat), large water, one glass of wine and two coffees were 32 euros which seemed reasonable. Would definitely go again.

This restaurant is literally underground in a cellar type environment. Lots of interesting historical stuff about Vienna on the walls. Food and beer are standard "Wien Kuche" traditional food, and at certain times of the day you have to get your own food at a counter. We were there in the afternoon and it was a bit understaffed, still a... More

There are 2 related restaurants here, and we tried both. We had lunch twice on the sidewalk outside and were pleased with the dishes we ordered. The portions were generous, well prepared and well presented. One afternoon we returned to descend into the 300 year-old beer cellar for wine and strudel. Prices are reasonable. Service is prompt.

Traditional food in even more traditional atmosphere. Nothing extremely special, but kid of an experience.

Esterazykeller is a fairly traditional beer, wine, and heavy Austrian food place near the very centre of Vienna. It is located on a tiny street off Naglergasse which in turn is just off the Graben. Naglergasse is a particularly good looking street so it is a decent enough short walk to Esterhazykeller. Being a Keller in the true sense of... More

Its a traditional Wien restaurant under the floor -in a cellar- with quite limited menu but excellent place if you are on a budget. Good place for chat and wining.

And you won't regret it. Wiener schnitzel vom Kalb is my favourite. Add some nice Puntigamer and you'll have great evening.

This place has existed in some form for hundreds of years and the atmosphere down in the cellar is amazing - it's worth a quick look around to see all of the nooks and crannies and various pictures on the wall. Basic food (such as the delicious Wienerschnitzel) can be ordered from the waitress and appeared very quickly, whilst other... More
