Lovely low pretentious and modern restaurant. Good food, friendly staff. Don't expect haute cuisine but straightforward Austrian kitchen. Enjoyed the Grüner Veltliner. Recommended.

Perfect place to start our trip in Vienna! English was easy here but we were the only tourists which we like. Had an amazing white wine spritzer with elderflower to start and the house red wine, both were good and comparably extremely cheap to the US! Veal schnitzel was amazing. Huge portion with greens and a yummy but light potatoes... More

When arrived the waiter come over, annoyed we sat ourselves at our reserved table, didnt greet us hello, just snatched the reservation cards and walked off! When 1 of my friends tried to pay (who only had 1 drink as he was ill), the waiter short changed him and when asked where the rest of the change was, the waiter replied... More

Hello Absgail, We are sorry for your bad experience at our Restaurant. We really appreciate feedback as it is the only way for us to notice problems like this. As our restaurant is quite small and we sometimes give away tables twice a night, a reservation is mostly attached to a specific table, this is why the waiter probably felt... More

Dined here this week with a colleague. The restaurant itself is a converted workshop hence it may be lacking a bit a of ambiance. However, and unlike the previous reviewer, the waiter at hand really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He explained the menu in English to us and also made a couple of suggestions.... I have trouble finding the right words for my experience with this so-called restaurant without being banned from tripadvisor. First off: It's only one room with a bar on one end. Hygiene-wise: I recommend non-observance. Food-wise: It may or may not be above average; I will not claim to be an expert in Austrian cuisine so I will only tell... More

My husband and I found this place, not far from our hotel on a main shopping street, and were very impressed. The interior isn't fancy; it appears to be an old motor shop or something pretty basic, but painted black and updated with lighting. Total seating may accomodate about 30 people, and I don't think it would be too easy... More

This is a good place in case you want to taste traditional Austrian food like, wienersnitzel, tafelspitz or gullach. However, this is not the place if you want a stylish environment. The interior is fairly simple, but the food itself is good. I had the tafelspitz (meat stew) which was good, but not excellent. For dessert, I had a dark... More

I came here with my partner on a summer evening. The staff were friendly enough and we enjoyed the atmosphere at our outdoor table. I ordered a beef goulash with bread pudding and my partner had the schnitzel. Both meals were delicious but the goulash was a fav. Generously sized meals and reasonably priced. We had chocloate pudding with berries... More

We discovered Finkh accidentally and the positive first impression was confirmed by locals living nearby - always a good sign, So, one balmy evening, we sat outside and had dinner. Interior is simple but well designed by a smart architect but that particular night was so nice we had to stay outside. Menu contains a small set of core dishes... More

Do not let the plain decor deter you from trying this restaurant - the food is wonderful. I had the Bread Dumplings with Sheep Milk Cheese on a bed of sauteed spinach and mushrooms and Apple Strudel for dessert and my husband had the Sea Bass with roasted fennel and potatoes and the molten chocolate cake for dessert. All of... More
