One Brandauer to skip

Unlike the Brandauer Gerngross, this one isn't all that welcoming and the staff aren't that friendly, even borderline rude. We had to wait for about 20 minutes for the waiter to finally bring us our drinks (we had only ordered different kinds of beer) and then he didn't even know who ordered what... read more

I was kind of hesitating between average and very good. You may skip the starters an move diretly to thr ribs or skewers. The ribs are more than generous portion. It may serve two. Meat was good. I had the skewer very good. Ribs are good but we prefer the American way of baby ribs. Very good value.

Location was 5 min walk from our ibis hotel. The quality of the food was very good for 10euro buffet meal. (All you can eat!)

A very nice place with very funny waiters, I had a lot of fun with mine. Very good atmosphere and the spare ribs were the best I ate until now in Wien.

The restaurant is easy reachable by U-bahn.Well decorated and quite big.We have waited a bit to be served, but then, once I've realised the waiter was my compatriot (Goran) everything went quite smoothly. We ordered some spare ribs&Texas platt...both portions were HUGE.Despite its tastefulness,we were forced to leave it unfinished because of its size....What a pity...

Wienner Schnitzel tasted really good and baby back ribs were also good. They served a lot for one dish. All tasted good. A restaurant you should definately go to while in Vienna.

This is one of the big dinner & beer places - nicely decorated with a vast variety of dishes. The Quality of the Food is okay but nothing Special. A real turn-off is that they seem not be able to organize their staff properly. We had reserved a seperate room for about 70 People. Only one waiter took orders which... More

A relative of mine had suggested for our recent get-together “Brandauer’s Bierbogen”, close to the Spittelau Station of the Viennese subway system. It’s located underneath several of the elevated aqueduct-like arches of one of Vienna’s suburban train lines (no longer used on that section). It was winter time… so, no sitting outside which, according to my relative, is quite enjoyable.... More

Very good after-work dinner! We enjoyed Bierbogen to relax, have good beer and meal: we gained this target! I tasted 3 types of draft beer and my preferred one was the non-pasteurized, with a bitter aftertaste. I ordered a really good medium-rare steak (the Rumpsteak) served with potatoes and vegetables. As dessert I got an hot chocolate cake served with... More

Staying in Dobling

Neighborhood Profile
Dobling
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
