At our last night in Vienna we went to this small, traditional, family restaurant for some Austrian food, and had a great time with lovely quiet atmosphere. The starters soups was nice and spicy, and the Goulash dish was just excellent and highly recommended (didn't take the Schnitzel, as we've already ate the best one at Figlmüller's... ). The host... Beim Czaak doesn't look massively promising from the outside, but once inside it's quite cosy. The waiters were quite straight faced but courteous, and spoke very good English (as was the case everywhere in Vienna); they seemed to have a joke with the locals though which made the atmosphere more friendly. We visited the restaurant twice as we felt comfortable... More

Went here following reviews and were not disappointed. Friendly service, fine tasty food and reasonable prices combined with quite natural, simple interior makes this a charming dining place.

I am Gluten and Dairy free and on Christmas Eve the staff not only took me and a friend in for last minute dinner plans, but they also prepared me a meal that was not on their pre-fix menu because they could see that I came there specifically for searching for gluten free food, which unfortunately was not on the... The food here was very good. Fresh and good sized portions of schnitzel. Good service and some nice Austrian wine to boot. Well worth discovering. Nice ambiance in the evenings.

This restaurant is just off the main thoroughfares and with a heavy curtain just inside the front door gives the impression of being closed. Good choice on the menu of traditional local food (the schnitzel stuffed with cream, mushrooms and onions was excellent) and a great beer selection.

We spent a wonderful evening at this cozy, warm and welcoming pub/restaurant. The restaurant serves all types of typical Austrian food. The food was great and the service very friendly. The place it highly recommended especially on a cold and rainy evening like the one we experienced. The place appears to be always full so maybe reservations are a good... More

Beim Czaak was recommended to us by friends. It is a typical small pub-restaurant. The food is great and portions are generous. The atmosphere was intimate and homey and felt like THE place to take refuge from a drizzly cold evening. The service was very friendly and we felt welcome as soon as we stepped inside. One of the best... More

We tucked ourselves into the little triangle of outdoor seating here after tromping around the area for a few hours. The scenery is lovely here, but not as lovely as the goulash. We both basically licked our plates clean. The beer was excellent also. The service was Austrian. :-)
