Came here specifically so my wife could have gluten free Weiner Schnitzel. Seemed like a bit of a locals hang out and had a very homely feel. The Schnitzel tasted great but fell apart a bit, which I won't mark down for given it was made gluten free. I ordered a beef and onion roast, which was amazing. Couldn't get... More

On arrival we got a friendly welcome and we were seated in the restaurant area at the back, which had a nice homely feel. We sampled a couple of different local wines by the glass and the dark beer, all of which were good. For starters we shared the potato pancakes with salmon which were tasty. We followed with boiled... More

At our last night in Vienna we went to this small, traditional, family restaurant for some Austrian food, and had a great time with lovely quiet atmosphere. The starters soups was nice and spicy, and the Goulash dish was just excellent and highly recommended (didn't take the Schnitzel, as we've already ate the best one at Figlmüller's... ). The host... Beim Czaak doesn't look massively promising from the outside, but once inside it's quite cosy. The waiters were quite straight faced but courteous, and spoke very good English (as was the case everywhere in Vienna); they seemed to have a joke with the locals though which made the atmosphere more friendly. We visited the restaurant twice as we felt comfortable... More

Went here following reviews and were not disappointed. Friendly service, fine tasty food and reasonable prices combined with quite natural, simple interior makes this a charming dining place.

I am Gluten and Dairy free and on Christmas Eve the staff not only took me and a friend in for last minute dinner plans, but they also prepared me a meal that was not on their pre-fix menu because they could see that I came there specifically for searching for gluten free food, which unfortunately was not on the...
