Good food, good value

We had dinner here one night and lunch a few days later, when it was warm enough to eat outside. We were very pleased with the service and the food, which is straight forward, traditional, unpretentious and well prepared. They do a really reasonably priced dinner special at night, which seems... read more

We went to this restaurant as it was close to hotel and recommended by our reception staff. We weren't disappointed the food was excellent and wine delicious. The waiter helped us choose but only when we asked and all choices were great. So good we went back three times and took their recommendation for Sunday dining. Only fault was the... More

I went here with my wife on two successive days. The first meal was excellent - classic, well-flavoured Austrian dishes plus a good Blaufrankisch from a short and reasonably priced wine list. My only reservation was that we seemed to have one of those waiters whose unwelcoming body language suggests that the world would be a fairer place if he... More

We all had variations of the Wiener Schnitzel. The waiters knew enough English to help us out, they had a menu in English. Atmosphere was cozy (we ate in the bar). I would recommend this restaurant.

Came here specifically so my wife could have gluten free Weiner Schnitzel. Seemed like a bit of a locals hang out and had a very homely feel. The Schnitzel tasted great but fell apart a bit, which I won't mark down for given it was made gluten free. I ordered a beef and onion roast, which was amazing. Couldn't get... More

On arrival we got a friendly welcome and we were seated in the restaurant area at the back, which had a nice homely feel. We sampled a couple of different local wines by the glass and the dark beer, all of which were good. For starters we shared the potato pancakes with salmon which were tasty. We followed with boiled... More
