Splendid food, unfriendly waitress

Went there for lunch, first placed by the entrance door, asked to move into the main restaurant. Splendid food, but the waitress rude and non- attentive. Food served by others - professional and very friendly. Try spaghetti all aglio with scampi - its a treat!!!! Go for the food - not the... read more

This wonderful restaurant has closed. It really was excellent. I loved eating here as both the food and the decor were great.

If you leave the pistes, it's hard to find a good place to wind town in the town itself. This is an exception in Austria, where you usually find plenty of watering holes in the resorts themselves. Chizzo has a tent on the main drag which attracts locals as well as stragglers. The barman has a soft spot for '60s... More

The 'Chizzo had been recommended by others before us & a good recommendation it was too. The building was deceptive; loads of space inside (as well as an outdoor apres-ski area) Staff all dress in local costume & lunch was delicious; we had the Tyrolean Schnitzel ~ not the cheapest of options but it is supposed to be the best... We stood at the outdoor bar area and were totally ignored by rough looking, rude, drunken barman who was more interested in drinking and banging glasses with his friends than serving so we walked off. Can this really be the same place that the others have reviewed ? Great view of slopes ? Its in town centre ! As for woody... More

Best fondue I have ever had. Ambience was very good and our waiter Manwell was the best. Be sure you have a reservation. And that they are serving the fondue that evening. Located right in the center of town. A short walk from the best Western Kaiserhof, I highly suggest that hotel also. Skiing was super too! Bob & Susie

I couldn't agree more with the review I just read for Chizzo. We too stopped at Chizzo every day for apres ski and looked forward to seeing Woody and enjoying some glunwein. What a great atmosphere to enjoy a beverage with a view of the slopes! Great music and company here. Definitely stop here on your way off the mountain.... More

Après Ski here is not to be missed. Under the umbrella is Woodys bar. Possibly the worlds best barman. How he manages to cope on his own is beyond me! Great place for a few beers and jaeger bombs after a day on the slopes. Great tunes and atmosphere, and Woody makes the place

We had early dinner (18:15) with our two children and the restaurant was not so busy yet. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice, we were assigned a very nice table and the service was fast and friendly. The menu is varied with some very original asian dishes. We opted for these and they were very well prepared and... More
