Having survived the crush in the old town and not been overly impressed by the eateries on the tourist trail we found ourselves in front of the Dom and in need of some refreshment. By sheer chance we wandered to the left of the building and, on a corner, found Fischerhausl. The courtyard looked inviting and this plus the fact... More

We were warmly welcomed in this discrete place right behind the Innsbruck cathedral. The staff was very friendly, general atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and warm. I would recommend to be seated on the top floor especially if the weather is not that great. That being said the outdoor space looked terrific. Food was good and prices were... More

Were looking for somewhere to eat and came upon the Fischerhausl with great atmosphere and excellent good- humoured service. The location is really handy for the medieval quarter and close to the park and funicular. Ideal for a lunch break and just off the beaten track.

Very pleased we found this place, tucked away behind the cathedral. Innsbruck old town is very beautiful but like most of these places, the restaurants and cafés in the main area are of the tourist trap variety. Not so the Fischerhausl which is packed with locals on their lunch breaks enjoying schnitzels and weissbeer, which are both excellent. Nice place... More

We picked this restaurant as I had read in a blog about it being a good choice for celiacs. The menu is in German and English and our waiter was able to direct us to lots of gluten free items and/or items the kitchen staff was able to prepare gluten free. Our waiter was incredibly helpful (though there appeared to... More

Excellent food, fast and kind service, prices not so much high. A complete menu of the day is also available (a tomato soup and a strüdel just for € 7.80).

Can't get too excited about Fischerhausl. While it's in a great location, the slightly condescending staff and small, less than riveting, menu spoils it. Waited for about half an hour at the bar area while clearly friends of the staff were seated promptly didn't begin the experience on the right note. One of those meals that you will forget quite... I visited this restaurant with two of my friends on a short trip to Innsbruck. In fact it was good enough that we came back again the following night! The food was good and a reasonable price, but the craic really made it! The owner is as mad as a bag of spiders and sat down with us during our... More

This is a hidden gem. Despite my daughter never having been there she was greeted by name and we immediately felt the friendly atmosphere. A multilingual waiter was incredibly efficient and service was fantastic. The menu doesn't have a lot of choices, but the most traditional Austrian dishes were there. My daughter had pork which she said was so tender... More

The beginning was promising. Michelin recommendation and all tabels occupied, not bad ! But... At the end in the restaurant at least two things are the most important : food and service. Service was very good. One waiter for the whole restaurant, but he has managed ! Unfortunatelly food was below expectations. Beef carpaccio was cold (for sure pre-prepared and... More
