Brilliant pub. OK food

The Stiftskeller is a massive pub / restaurant with several areas to eat inside, a bar, a large patio on the Burgraben side, and a small patio on the Stiftgasse side. As a pub / bar I would give the Stiftskeller 5 stars and as a restaurant 3. In my view the food was mediocre, although cheap with... read more

my partner and I made a couple of visits while in Innsbruck. staff friendly, quick service. even though the place was very busy we waited no time before being presented with some good food. beef pot roast is tasty. staff were great explain menu and refilling our drinks. area for sitting and eating was a great atmosphere. will recommend to... Had lunch in the outdoor cafe and dinner in the main hall. On both occasions the food was good. Typical Austrian/German fare for reasonable price, and hence very crowded. Service was efficient but without a smile. The main dining hall had a good atmosphere.

We visited a few times whilst holidaying in Innsbruck the overall experience was ok but not great, this was mainly due to who served your area as others have stated the service was not as good as the food one in particular who "to say he was miserable would be painting a happy picture" really let this place down. we... You cannot reserve tables and as it was beautiful day the court yards were crowded, but we got a table with a short wait. The service philosophy seemed to be macdonalds without a smile. We were there on terms of personnel not ours. Be aware that when ordering, after you said - that's it- the order goes online and cannot... More

A typical tourist trap. The food is average to poor and the staff are rude and uninterested. We had sosugaes who taste nothing and a chicken salad who was just average. Stay away. There are much better places in Innsbruck than this for a lunch or dinner.

All enjoyed our food here. Portions a good size and not ridiculously overpriced given central Innsbruck location.

After a few days in Innsbruck, this place gets our family vote as the best place to eat. Pretty big place, we at indoors to stay away from the smokers - it's a comfortable dining room and service is very good. We tried a few dishes and the Roast Pork (complete with Dumpling) was the winner. The Grostl (confusingly described... More

We not only ate here one night, but went back a second night. We tried a couple of dishes but discovered our favorites were the Wiener schnitzel and the goulash. Both nights we sat out at the Biergarten. It was very nice watching people walk by along the brick streets. Prices were reasonable and the food was very good along... More

Sat in the small outdoor eating area. I believe they have a larger outdoor seating area as well - accidentally stumbled upon it after taking a wrong turn inside after paying. Food was delicious. I had a dish with pork, potatoes, and a fried egg. Amazing. My wife had the cheese spaetzel, and it was also fantastic. Good local German... More
