First, the good parts: the atmosphere is quite nice and everyone is friendly; the location is good, in the inner city; the place is large so finding a table is seldom a problem. What I did not like is the whole kitchen output. Once you manage to get the attention of a waiter (a challenging tasks by itself) you can... More

Excellent local food, great atmosphere, fair prices. Nice restaurant and seems to be an "in" place for the locals too. Would recommend.

It is big place. A lot of guests and not fast service. Food is tasty, but prices.. 12€ is a big price for the boiled meat (tafelspitz). The portion was too small and I ordered sausages.

I recently booked a table for 20+ people at Stiftskeller for a pre-wedding, meet and greet. This turned out to be the perfect venue for people to chat, move around, mingle, eat and drink. Prices were reasonable and the food hit the spot perfectly. My frankfurters with bread was the perfect fuel for a beer-fuelled night of fun and frolics.... More

The beer garden at the Stiftskeller is perfect to enjoy a beer, accompanied by a small Tyrolean cold snack or a more substantial warm meal. Service is friendly, beer is perfect, our only complaint would be about the extremely loud Americans on the next table - we actually left early, wondering where the book title "The Silent American" had come... Had both lunch and dinner at Stiftskeller. The place is lively, the waiters are quick and the food is great! Loved the place and the laid back atmosphere.

Hard to believe the good ratings! We thought we would enjoy the experience since we have been at other Augustiner Restaurants and saw the ratings, but unfortunately this was not the case this evening. We Had a table outside and ordered their Obatzda, Schnitzel and a Green Salad. The Obatzda had too much cream cheese, the Schnitzels were very dry... More

I went to this place for dinner with my family suggested by our hotel; I also searched for the reviews in TA and I must say that I got what I expected. The place is very nice and located very centrally, but unfortunately, despite it was end of July, it was raining like hell, so we had not much chance... More

We came to the restaurant with our English friends and our two years old son. First of all I have to say that the staff was rude (hello!!!tourists are bringing the money to your work). They even did not try to talk English. We talk German but there was not even a bit more politeness in their behaviour. Old woman... More

The food was so delicious here! The atmosphere was also great. The service was typical for European restaurants - not enough help, not enough attention, and slow. However, the location was great and it was great for people watching. The food came as ordered and the traditional Austrian fare we ordered was cooked perfectly.
