The dumplings were amazing. We got the sampler and all 3 flavors were great. We also had the pot roast and wiener schnitzel, both were very good. The self service seating can be a little challenging, but very fun atmosphere.

Large bierkeller-style place on the edge of the Aldstadt (oldtown) with big, tented outside area. We were attracted because it was one of the few places to have full English translation. Good variety including local specialities: we had Farm Duck (good portion and tasty) and a ragout with spinach noodles (very sweet). Wine by the glass. Not expensive, good service... More

Had good food and beer. Nice location under a tent outside. Portions large; I couldn't finish mine. Prices were good.

After visiting the Hofburg Palace, I headed to Stiftskeller, which was close by, for some Tyrolean cuisine. This beer garden has both indoor and outdoor seating, which was where I and it seemed most others headed because of the warm weather. Stiftskeller has that "been around" a while old world charm and lively atmosphere. If you're hungry, this Austrian restaurant's... More

We stopped in this restaurant because it was near the Hofburg Palace, literally just right around the corner. It was a pretty day and there was lots of outdoor seating in a covered patio, so we grabbed a table. The prices are good, considering it is Austria. It appears to be a popular place. My husband got the weiner schnitzel... More

I've recently been to Innsbruck on my way back from Munich to Italy. It was my second time at Stiftskeller and the experience was great both times. This time I had the pumpkin soup and the venison. The pumpkin soup was tasty and velvety. The venison was nice and slightly sweet and was served with cranberry jam and some green... More

We decided to try this restaurant a few nights ago and we were happy we did. The I side was packed with locals which, to me is almost always a good sign. Opted to sit outside under a large covered patio. My wife's roast pork was the best so far on our trip. I had the venison ragout which was... More
