Great outdoor eating when it's warm. Traditional Food. In the heart of the old town.

Traditional Austrian food in the heart of Innsbruck. When the weather is good the restaurant has enjoyable outdoor seating. It is positioned on Herzog Friedrich strasse near the river so there is good people watching without it being too busy. The sign says the building was built in 1476! I had... read more

Ushered indoors as a thunderstorm broke we were escorted to a magnificent panelled upstairs room. With perfect service we were treated to a delicious "deer pan" with red cabbage and perfect wiener schnitzel. For the authentic Austrian cuisine don't miss this place

Our tour held a group dinner at the Ottohaus tonight & service was awful. Food was served very slowly & we waited at least 30+ minutes for dessert (fixed dessert choice for the group) Many of the tour group left rather than wait any longer. It was unusually hot in Austria at the beginning of July so we were sweltering... More

This place is a bit pricier than many of the other spots in the old town but the food is a notch above the rest as well. The ambience and decor is spot on. I had some amazing Carpaccio, followed by the Deerpan and both dishes arrived quickly and were very tasty!

A very charming and special place with a lot of history, squeaky wooden floors and starcase and dark wood walls. Good and quick service, although I came for a late dinner and the restaurant was not busy. All tyrolean classics, very well made. I was on the second floor, the dishwashing was a touch too loud, but with more people... More

Excellent traditional cuisine and attentive service. It is nice that they have a separate section for non-smokers.

The Ottoburg is in a historic building in the centre of Innsbruck and serves food in various rooms. We had a table on the first floor with lovely view of the city centre. The food was excellent and I had a typical Austrian food called

Really good traditional poultry and meat dishes. Enjoyed the pork and beef dishes which my host said are traditional tyrolean dishes.

Yes the waitress was grumpy. It's Austria...that happens. But best meal I had inInnsbruck was taking a seat outside at the table on the street. Ordered some house red. Had steak carpaccio for starter. Amazing. As this was so good had the Argentinian steak and baked potatoes. Ok not very Austrian but great and served promptly. Will be going again... More

Went here for lunch whilst shopping in Innsbruck, the old woman serving had the charm of a rottweiler and when we asked for Currywurst which was on the board outside she had to ask the kitchen if this was Ok. This lead to 10 minutes of laughter between her and the two other german guests in the restaurant (in german,... More
