After doing our day job with running (half marathon) in Innsbruck in April 6th, 2013 we found good reason to give us a good reward for it and when found close to our hotel Innsbruck, this old fashioned restaurant, probably in the oldest building in Innsbruck, we choose it. Even we had no reservation, we got a good round table... More

Our last nite together, we wanted a nice dinner. 3 of our group had the Schnitzel, I had the boiled beef. Great tasting dinner, great service, it was mid week, so it was not crowded. Ate in the non - smoking section in the basement. Reasonably priced by Toronto standards, would recommend it as an excellent choice.

The Ottoburg is an experience. It cannot be described as quick dining but the local cuisine is worth the wait and if you sit down with humour it's worth every euro. It was good value in all senses and I would go back as long as I did not have a plane to catch.

Place was authentically decorated and staff was dressed traditionally which was nice. They welcomed my husband and I really warmly but they did not speak English very well. We had deer steak (tournedo in two in the menu) on a sweet tasted sauce which suited with the deer meat. They also served finger shaped herbed potatoes along side with the... More

Nice, cozy, clean. I enjoyed the typical food, but not the service. We started our meal with a misunderstanding hanging over our heads: it's unpleasant to go into a place, after having reserved a table for 7pm, and being told we had until 8pm (the host spoke little English, no Italian and we only know a few words of German).... great location...food and service deserve a 5 star...real austrian cousin and prime food...the way is located the restaurant through out the different floor makes nicer than a traditional one... what out for the Kren...if never tried a fresh one could be an experience..

This was my first meal stop in my Austria holiday. We ordered the veal goulash and schnitzel. The veal goulash was extremely salty and I had a hard time trying to eat it. My partner called it an epic failure after he tasted it which made me even more upset. It was always my philosophy not to waste time and... More

Visited there to celebrate an occasion with friends. My friends ordered gulash and schnitzel which I found to be mediocre but my deer stake was the best I had in Austria during my one week stay. And we had a very nice wine with a very rich palate Umathum's zweigelt. Suited perfectly the steak. Was the most traditional restaurant I've... More

Although my wife and I tend to enjoy places off the beaten path, given the reviews of how good the food was (even from the negative ones) we decided to try out this restaurant since we were staying nearby. Given the revies for poor service, we decided to go late (10pm) so it wouldn't be as crowded and less likelty... More
