Lovely cafe in the heart of old town

Another popular cafe in Salzburg, Tomaselli's is situated in the old town in the main square. The cafe's standout feature is the pretty two level front with white and green stripes umbrellas and pretty pink flowers. I definitely recommend stopping by for a picture and it's an ok spot for a little drink after a long day of walking. The... More

Seeking the 'real German/Austrian' style cakes, we were well satisfied! Coffee was good. Service was attentive and friendly, too :-) The tables outside and on the balcony overlook the old market square and get lovely afternoon sun. We were not lucky enough to get one of the sought after tables... Oh well, we were still happy

The fact thaht you are sitting in a cafe which started in 1703, a place where Mozart used to come to eat, sometimes overwhelms you to be honest. You have the option of sitting in the open, either on the ground floor or the first floor balcony. We sat in the open on the ground floor. Wonderful coffee, and a... More

My husband and I enjoyed sitting outside Cafe Tomaselli one morning for espresso and cappuccino. Relaxing, good service. There is a case inside of pastries you can view before ordering, if you want a sweet treat, too.

One of the oldest cafe/coffee houses in Salzburg and is highly recommended in various locations (inc. Mozart Museum). The building is beautiful and there is ample outside seating, sounds perfect. Except we met the only rude Austrian on our whole 7 day trip - our waiter. Totally ruined the trip, I would recommend walking into the cafe looking at the... More

Although we found somewhere to sit quite quickly, the service was slow and three tables of people who had been waiting to be served got up and walked away.

Cafe Tomaselli has to be the worst Cafe in Salzburg. Visited twice in 3 days. Got the same table. 2 different Waiters. Both to say the very least were abrupt, rude, had no patience to help or explain. Both would benefit from a Development Course in Customer Service. Someone should remind the staff at Tomaselli that the Customer should made... More

They have a very limited menu. It is mainly a breakfast place. I had the sausages with scrambled eggs and the cheese plate. Sausages were good. It is good place to sit and view people walking.
