Recommendation by our tour guide (ask the locals)! Very nice experience overall. Food, wine and server (Manuela) were all very good! Highly recommend this restaurant.

The dinner is held at the Stiftskeller St. Peter (http://stpeter-stiftskeller.at/en/mozart-dinner.html) which is the oldest surviving restaurant in the world. The restaurant is located at the St. Peter's Archabbey of Salzburg. The dinner would be held in the Baroque Hall of the restaurant. The performance wear the historical customs, singing and dancing pieces composed by Mozart. Guests will be served in... More

Everything started quite slow, there were (too) many people sitting outside. I ordered a big menu and had to wait for a Long time. After the third course everything went better and I felt welcomed. The Food was very good.

Honestly, we were slightly disappointed by the lunch itself. To be fair, we were on a tour and the fixed menu might not have been the best they can offer. The main course, turkey Wienerschnitzel, was fine, although we had rather better ones in Prague. The soup with pancake slices was average. Nothing to be ashamed of obviously, a good... More

We had dinner here as arranged by our tour, so we ate in an upper room that catered to our group with a pre-set menu. Food was good, not the best I have eaten, but decent enough to make me want to come back on my own if I ever get back to Salzburg. We speculated that the wait staff... More

We visited for lunch and the food was excellent along with the service. A beautiful setting to enjoy your food. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is I thought it was a little expensive for lunch, paying the same as you would in the evening.

The building itself is worth going here - at least once. Claiming to be the oldest restaurant in Europe, the ambiance could not have been better. I dined in the brick "skeller" downstairs, which was amazing. I planned to eat here if only to enjoy the Salzburg Nockerl but was also hoping to have the duck, which they were out... More

We had the pleasure of dining in the wonderful courtyard in the summertime. I had the risotto, the husband enjoyed the Wiener schnitzel and we shared 3 peaks of Salzburger Nockerln for dessert. Or we tried. We just couldn't finish. The ambiance is historic, upscale and tasteful. The food fresh, well prepared and adequately sized. The service attentive, friendly and... More

Just the entrance to the restaurant itself is worth going for, it was so Christmassy and festive the food was excellent but in keeping with the traditional way of things it was a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The soups sound normal but when you have one they are the most delicious things ever (I am not a soup... More
