St. Peter Stiftskeller is one of the best restaurants I visited! They have a great foie gras that was sooo delicious. The platters and desserts were amazing. And the service was very friendly. I definitely recommend!!!

On tour and shown the oldest restaurant in Europe, my friend and I came across it while wandering Salzburg the following day. Decided to lunch there. I had no great expectations. I guess I expected 'touristy'. It was Christmas week and seating was inside. The waitress showed us to a cosy corner and was only too happy to explain the... More

The restaurant is amazing in that it is so old. The ambiance was awesome, service very attentive, and food and wine selections extensive. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

This is a must place in Salzburg, they claim to be the oldest restaurant in Europe. The building, interior and ambiente are unique, the outdoor area is nice both in summer and December, when it is beautifully decorated for Christmas. The food is outstanding, with attention to detail in presentation. The issue that spoils all the above is the nonchalant... More

We booked dinner here, despite some mixed tripadvisor reviews, based on the swanky appearance, gourmet looking menu, and buying into the “europe’s oldest restaurant” pitch. We booked for the regular a la carte menu, not the special Mozart set menu dinner or whatever touristy stuff they’ve got going on upstairs. Things started off with a couple of glasses of wine... This was an all around great dining experience. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The food was very good and the atmosphere was wonderful. I was able to get a reservation last minute and they were very accommodating. The wine by the glass selection is limited, but what I had was very good. I had the Hereford Beef. The... More

I have been here with a large group of around 80 people. The 4 course dinner was very tasty and the highlight were the Salzburger Nockerl for dessert. The waiter were very friendly and professional.

Stopped with an entire tour group. Food was very good. Service was a little better than so-so, but then there were 30 of us! Clean restrooms. Beautiful location.

I booked a table for myself and 8 friends and we weren't disappointed. The food was beautiful, catering for glutton free and vegetarian in our party, and we all enjoyed the St Peters cocktail. It started to rain so the staff sorted out our taxi's, and when two didn't show then phoned and phoned them until they turned up. The... More
