Arrived without a reservation and were made to feel a bit silly, but they accommodated us and served us promptly. Lovely traditional-looking restaurant, obviously very popular, staff dressed in traditional clothing, service was ok although was busy and seemed a bit manic, food arrived quickly (yummy goulash and good pork schnitzel) with nice Austrian beer. Horribly, they allow smoking inside... More

We only stayed one night in Salzburg coming back from croatia and we could not have made a better decision for dinner. We chose the different spreads as a starter, a great beginning! For main dishes we had "schwammerlgulasch" and "gulasch" with a small side salad. Everything just tasted great and was well arranged! For dessert we chose Sacher cake... More

Came here based on good rating for dinner, but left a bit disappointed. I was expecting very traditional Austrian food, but I felt they were trying to make it too fancy. Both of us didn't really enjoy our meal too much. There was a breadbasket on the table. We assumed this was free with the meal but were surprised that... More

We went to this place twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. I found it very helpful that gluten free items are labelled. I had a salad both times ( different ones), they were fantastic. The service was good. My husband and son loved their meals as well. The location in the Historic Center is very convenient and charming.

We've been in Europe for three weeks and have visited 4 countries, and this was the first restaurant that I feel pulled a fast one on us. We came based on reviews and recommendations from friends. The food was very good-authentic Austrian fare. I think the waiters were more interested in taking care of the locals who were coming in... More

Great location just behind the museum. Clearly very authentic food which was good. Prices are moderate and the service was ok, but the food did take quite a bit of time. It was clearly made to order and very good. BUT, watch out for the breadbasket-they bring it to the table and don't tell you if you eat anything from... More

We went for a lunch. Nice place with good price, service and food. The schintzel was 12 euros... The other plate that we ordered was the same price. The only problem was the stupid manager who push me down when I was taking a picture before leaving. Rude and stupid, wouldn t come back just because of him.

Great dinner for the traditional meat eaters and our two vegetarians. The beer and combo plate were big. The fries and location made made us feel as a local!!

This is the perfect restaurant for good food and ambience just as you imagined and hoped for in Salzburg just steps off Mozartplatz. The food is delicious, authentic and reasonably priced. The traditional Austrian classics are perfect including their Gulash, Wiener Schnitzel and roast pork with dumplings. Their beer menu enables you to experiment and their dessert menu is unsurpassed.... More
