The restaurant staff are very welcoming and the ambience inside positively Austrian. We'd recommend the clear beef soup with sliced pancake; house goulash with bread dumpling and 1l of their excellent wheat beer to wash it all down. Definitely pay this place a visit!

We had a delicious meal with friends here. The food was hearty and flavorful. Enjoyed a beef goulash and spinach dumplings which were unique and tasty. Loved the interior of the restaurant. Very warm and charming and it seemed as though it was a popular dinner spot for locals. Service was good.

We enjoyed our large portions here of traditional Austrian food. We we're put on a table with some other people but it was large enough so not much of an issue.

We enjoyed some great Austrian food here. The place was packed when we arrived, so we sat at a large table with other people. The house made spreads plate was delicious. I ordered the spinatknodel (spinach dumpling) for my entree, and was not disappointed! The massive dumpling was resting in a pool of clarified butter, and was moist and full... More

The place is ok and Food is good they have gluten and lactose free menu but the waitress was very rude, took us 10 minutes to come to our table for the order and always talked in German after taking our order and the tables next to us laughed so I assume she was saying something not nice. Even with... More

Wondered into Austria after wanting to get out of Munich, Germany and so happy we did. Took a horse carriage ride & the driver along with several other locals recommended this place as a great spot. SO glad we listened. No reservations but they seated us outside on the terrace, great modern German decor. It was our last meal in... More

My dining experience in Salzburg during the Festival was frustrating. Dining before the evening performances was a bit too early, but after the performances, many restaurants were closed and many of those that were still open were full. Any way, one evening I ate before the opera and afterwards felt like having coffee and a dessert. I had noticed the... More

Lovely little cellar-type place with vaulted ceilings and offbeat interior - kitchen utensils hanging from electrical conduit and 1950s industrial lighting but it worked well and made a cozy atmosphere. Prompt, friendly and multi-lingual service. Four of us ate very well for about 100 Euros and it was classic Austrian fare - we had schnitzel with parsley potatoes, pork tenderloin,... More

Stopped by for an early afternoon dinner. My wife and I had the mixed grill for two persons and it was delicious. There was plenty of food, and a great assortment of Austrian pork and chicken along with a ground pork stuffed with cheese. There was also a wonderful cabbage wrapped pork and rice. The wait staff was very helpful,... More
