Sit on the terrace outside and munch on the best brekkie in town while watching the cyclists and dog-walkers pass alongside the river. The Bazar breakfast menu is inexpensive (€6-€12) and delicious. Try one of the slices of cake inside if you've still room to fit it in! 5*

Great food and very good service. The best thing about the Cafe Bazar is the view. It is located right of the Salzach River. There are view of old town and it is a block or two from the Mirabell Palace and it's wonderful gardens. Great place to sit and watch the world.

Well situated next to the river, Classic Austrian coffee house with excellent food, nice ambiance, and decent service. Coffees taste amazing but cups are small. One of us ordered strudel, I ordered Marillenknodel, Austrian Apricot Dumplings. Both were delicious, We went in August in a very rainy day, hardly found a seat. Seems its popular among locals as well. Recommended.

Very old fashion shop. Nothing interesting. However, very very impolite waitress. Here is the discussion: My Wife: I saw you have a cake with apple. What does it have inside? Waitress: apple My Wife: Only apple? Waitress: Yes. My Wife: But I saw something else inside. Waitress: I think I gave you already a straight answer. Do you want to... More

Located on the banks of the river Salzach, this traditional café is well-known by locals and festival guests for breakfast as well as snacks before the performances. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Outdoor-seating on the patio can be highly recommended.

A friend of mine introduced me end of last year to this charming restaurant/cafe, and when I recently played tour guide for another visitor from California, we had to end our city tour here. Luckily we were able to snatch up a seat on the terrace; it was a most beautiful day and the cafe was very busy. The service... More

Café Bazar has become a favourite haunt over the years. A traditional old style café, properly aged at the edges which offers a genuine experience and a respite from the tourist packed venues in the Altsadt just over the river. The staff are friendly and do their job so you are left to get on with your beer, snack, cake,... More

We went here for a small lunch: The soup was very good, and we liked both the Apfelstrudel and the coffee - other cakes didn't look so interesting. Very nice view over the river

Great food - the eggs were fluffy and awesome. Priced well and located right along the river. Service was fast and the atmosphere on the patio was great. It was perfect.

The food /drink was very average, the decor looks a bit dated, but the thing that annoyed was the service. Staff were slow to take our order and the food took around 40 minutes to arrive. I recommend you go next door to Sacher, the service is much friendlier and more efficient.
