I was thoroughly disappointed. Cafe Bazar looks warm and inviting by the side of the river. I was delighted to see a blanket available on the terrace for those of us keen to enjoy the November blue skies. The waiter was not friendly - in fact I could almost say disdainful. I asked for a sandwich menu but he merely... More

Fortunately today turned out to be a gorgeous day (mid November), so was perfect for sitting by the river to enjoy a... okay, I'll 'fess up I had the hot chocolate with rum, and it was good. The waiter, very old school in his super smart uniform, and, if I may say, a little bit of a twinkle in his... More

Inside is very beautiful. We stay there for breakfast. We took one super little glass of juice, 1 plate of eggs with wurstel, 1 croissant, one strudel. Everything good nothing special but the price...14€ for me too much! The presentation of the plates very poor for the price.

We had missed our boatride and were looking for a cafe. Lo and behold we ended up in Cafe Bazar ! It was quite crowded and the staff is old-school. Tried the Sacher Torte. Most items on the list were a trifle expensive.

Had breakfast here and I was very pleased with what I ordered. The chickenliver (which I was recommended when I askes about it) was delicious and their homemade jam had excellent sweetness! Seems like many locals come here, I couldn't spot a single tourist except myself. Service was very funny and accommodating. Quite big local and got a bit noisy... More

The atmosphere of this place is amazing, however there drinks and food are pricey for no reason. The food seems pretty generic and not a lot of thought is put into presentation.

The food was not bad but the order taker who served us was pompous, the food was expensive(€15 for a chicken salad).the restaurant is beautifully situated next to the river.there is int much choice for food and when we asked the Order taker if there was any other chicken dishes other than the salad, he told us that it was... Sit on the terrace outside and munch on the best brekkie in town while watching the cyclists and dog-walkers pass alongside the river. The Bazar breakfast menu is inexpensive (€6-€12) and delicious. Try one of the slices of cake inside if you've still room to fit it in! 5*

Great food and very good service. The best thing about the Cafe Bazar is the view. It is located right of the Salzach River. There are view of old town and it is a block or two from the Mirabell Palace and it's wonderful gardens. Great place to sit and watch the world.
