We have eaten here at least once on each of our trips to Salzburg. It is advisable to book as it gets very busy. Food is typical Austrian and has always been great, service is good especially considering how busy they are.

I was recommended to eat at this restaurant earlier in the afternoon by a tour guide and I'm really pleased I took his advice. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere with some of the staff dressed in traditional costume. I decided to try the Salzburger platter and was impressed with the mixture of food including ham, cheese and sausage although... More

We were a large group of 16 for dinner. The service was pleasant and efficient, despite the size of the group. The food was very good. The traditional Austrian dishes were very good. Kids' menu was very good but do take into consideration that the dishes' size is rather small - teenagers (10+) may want to opt for adult-size dishes.... More

My wife had pork, I had chicken and we both agreed that it was the best tasting meal we had had on our Austrian trip. Service was friendly and good, staff seemed happy to serve us. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We went there twice on this trip. The first time we just dropped in but they managed to fit us in even though they were very busy. The second time we took the precaution of booking. Genuine Austrian cooking and beer. Good service. What more it there to say?

We booked a table for our anniversary as wanted a typical low key Austrian meal. The food was great! We had a cheese starter and then I had fresh trout and my husband has lamb. It was all delicious and the portions were HUGE!! Only down side was the service. Don't get me wrong the staff were nice, friendly and... More

My husband and I ate here twice. We absolutely loved the food (that's why we came back a second time). However, the service is not too good. The server took several minutes during both visits to bring us a menu to the point where we wondered whether they knew we were even seated. Then it took a while to have... More

Had early evening dinner - outside - comfortable seats. Food was very good. Not huge portions but enough. The vegetables needed just a little longer in the cooking pot - for our taste.

Good Wieninger beer, good food as well (nice pork with noodles), and nice little garden. Go and visit it after or before you got to Mirabell.

In 8 nights my wife and I visited 3 times so had a range of meals. Specials menu provided excellent rack of lamb smothered in mushrooms and filling mixed grill. We went for more classic Austrian meals next, Weiner Schnitzel and Sausages with Sauerkraut, tasty but should have ordered more vegetables. Finally the hot turkey with garlic bread on a... More
