We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel and were delighted with the food. The menu changes each day and is limited to 3 choices (no written menu). Altogether we dined there on 3 separate occasions and each pasta dish we tried was brilliant including pasta with truffles and cheese, mussels in a white sauce, zucchini and shrimps, tomato... More

This was an interesting experience in that the staff only spoke Italian (not German or English). With the help of our expertise in the culinary part of the language and what we could gather from other guests we did very well. It seem everybody has antipasti followed by a pasta dish and accompanied by a rather robust Italian wine. Everything... More

A very refreshing experience amongst our other travel feeds. We stepped in off the street after spotting it earlier. Limited selection but the food came out hot, fresh and delicious. Our only regret was not ordering the antipasta platter which looked amazeballs! We hadn't anticipated just how casual it was. Almost turned off by the unofficial welcome from the table... More

If you expect five star service and proper menu, don't go here. This is a small, neighborhood restaurant with a small selection of real Italian homemade pasta dishes. The waiters are Italian and some of them don't even speak good German, but who cares when you get perfect genuine al dente pasta. It's not fancy, neither is the service great,... More

Maybe I have eaten in to many Italian restaurants and that is why I didn't like this one. It is more like Italian fast food. Aperol spritz was poor, house vine even worse, food was below average.

Paste e Vino was close to our hotel and on their list of suggested restaurants. When we checked it out, we could see that it was small and popular, so we booked a table and returned a little later. Yes, the tables are small and the service is towards the anarchic end of the spectrum but we liked the ambience... More

We sat outside and ate pasta and pizza, was nice to sit and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping street. Good value and tasty food.

This place was pretty awful. We never saw a menu - the waiter told us what our 3 pasta options were and didn't mention antipasti or salad. He didn't even asked if were interested in ordering anything else. We sat outside and a menu was posted nearby so I checked it to see what else they had, and it included... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. They called and made us a reservation for 8:00 p.m. When we arrived and told them we had a reservation, the waiter said "are you sure"? He said "I don't think so". But he said he had a table for 2 that was in front of the rest room. We said that would be fine.... More

After walking into this place I was pleasantly reminded of a favorite of mine in lower Manhattan - "Il Vagabondo". Same tacky interior, same detached and uninterested waiters, same cheap Italian wine and possibly the best Italian pasta in Salzburg and area. Started with a hearty and delicious antipasto for two. I had the pasta e carne (meat)and my wife... More
