My husband and I saw the Sounds of Salzburg show recently and had a wonderful time! I am a huge Sound of Music fan however, you don't need to be to enjoy the show. My husband has never seen the movie but had a great time at the show. The food was great; traditional Austrian feast. There was also traditional... More

I've been here several times when visiting Salzburg. This place is huge and has four different areas to be seated, do not think of this one as big area as a restaurant. The first time I came here I was at the area I would describe as the bar, very comfortable area, very relaxed, friendly staff, with great food and... More

A local tavern, old fashion furnitures, classical decoration and wall paintings. The menu for the group was schnizel with fried potatos. It was okey but nothing special. We enjoyed local beer. I thing is the restaurant for tourists.

From the moment that we were guided to our table to the time we left we experienced service second to none. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. As a beer fan I was interested in the beer list and the waiter gave me some advice and background to my selection(s). We both enjoyed our meals (and beer) and look... More

One of the oldest houses in Salzburg where travelers restored for centuries. A quite large place with a lot of different rooms and different decorations. Enjoy beer and local food, and feel like the journeymen, citizens and wagoners, traders and sutlers who sat on your place some hundred years ago.

A wonderful little place, serving authentic Austrian fare, that is homely and unpretentious. It is comforting to know that we were in the company of the locals, which was good enough for us. A few couples found our Australian accent an oddity. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. Well worth the visit.

Very touristic restaurant, divided into 4 rooms. We do not know why tourists are mainly located in two specific rooms why locals in other room. Food is nothing special, beers are good.

We found the staff to be extremely rude and unfriendly. The food was good but the fact that the staff were extremely surly just put a damper on the evening. If it wasn't for my custom, you wouldn't have a business or employment!

We ordered the typical faire; schnitzel, sausages, etc. The food was nothing outstanding and the service was not good. Our waiter was slow and unapologetic. The atmosphere was nothing special. We were disappointed. It's certainly no Hofbrau!
