A nice dinner in the right river bank

We visited this establishment twice last year and raved about the atmosphere and the quality of the food so we looked forward to a return visit. Oh what a letdown , the dishes which we ordered were the same as we ordered last year but the quality left much to be desired, too much padding of salad on a dish... More

The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful and love cracking a joke. Service is fast. The food was great. They serve a deliciously warm roll & pretzel basket when you arrive. Both my husband and I had the affensteak i.e. a grilled pork saddle steak on rosti-potatoes, grilled tomatoes, zucchini and cheese with smoked ham and a salad garnish. The rosti... More

This is another good Salzburg restaurant serving traditional food in an informal but nice setting. It is very busy and you need to book a table if you want to eat between 19:00 - 20:30 to avoid disappointment. Otherwise just turn up and wait until a table becomes available. Although busy the service was excellent and the food was good.... More

We arrived at 6:30 p.m. to be told there were no non-reservation tables available. However, they were able to give us a table that was reserved at 7:30, as long as we could finish within an hour. Even on a Monday night, this place was full, mostly of locals. Food and service were outstanding. I had tomato+coconut soup and the... More

This place was mobbed with what seemed like locals. It took us two days of trying to get a reservation but once we did, our table was available (with our name on it) immediately. We were shocked because there were so many people there, including lots of big parties, that we thought that two random Americans would be ignored. On... More

We walked here for dinner about 9:45pm after a concert and got a table for 5. This was a warm and homey--but lively--restaurant. There was a large table of (presumably) locals behind us who were quite lively and had a smorgasbord of enticing and steaming platters of food served to them. We had not yet had our necessary goulash and... More

This restaurant was across the road from our hotel and we thought we would try it out. What a great find, unfortunately it was fully book out on the inside we had to sit at the outside tables. Unlike Australia there were no outside heaters which I found unusual. We watched the amount of people who were walk ins that... More

We were told of this place from the owner of Bellini's Italian Bar and were not disappointed. We arrived at about 1900 without a reservation and seated at once. Upon reading their menu, they have several German beers on tap. I ordered one and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We ordered the roast chicken with stuffing, which... More

Made reservations in advance since it was a Saturday night. Had our table reserved outside at a 4 top although we were only 2, no problem. Service started off great, then as the night progressed it got busier and busier an we saw less and less of our waiter. Food was good, but honestly, at 19 Euro had better wiener... More
