Very pleasant staff and the food was pretty good. It's a very lively room and well-located for the Marionnette Theater or the Landstheater.

Excellent ambience, friendly staff and honest-to-goodness food - plus good beer. We shared a table but that only added to the experience. Highly recommended!

We went to this restaurant after checking out comments on trip advisor with my best friend. We planned to go for lunch but they were closed, so we booked a table for dinner the same night. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and not expensive at all. We had an amazing night. The restaurant was full... More

The food was lovely the classics Austrian beef stew was to die for and so soft and only at €10.80 the beer for 500ml cost €4 and a glass of rose was €4 so cost was great. The staff were friendly and helpful as other people have said it does get busy so book early to avoid disappointment. The menu... More

We went on the recommendation of the receptionist at our hotel. We ate here on our first night and loved it, we tried to eat there on the second night but it was packed and there was a long wait for a table. We were successful on out third night. We loved the food - very Austrian, wholesome, but somehow... More

Went there on recommendations of b& b host as good local restaurant. It was for us. We made reservations in advance and were told they were from 7:00 to 8:30. And at 8:30, when our waiter very nicely asked if we could scoot over to accommodate the next set, we were ready, so it was no problem, It is not... More

We went to the drunken monkey after asking a local where to go for good native food. We all had colds after our long flight a few days before and so we shared the soup of the day and a few tall beers. Later we had the pork steak the drunken monkey way. All our meals were amazing but this... More

Had dinner there on our one night stay in Salzburg. We arrived early at 6pm and good thing we did as we they were all booked out for the night and they were able to accommodated us before the next seating. We ordered the wiener schnitzel, affen steak and apple strudel. The schnitzel was great, but took a bite of... More
