The food was traditional Austrian but with good choices for my vegetarian friend. I had the goulash which was excellent. The place was busy and servers cross-cover each other. Beware they provide a plate with a warm roll and warm pretzel when you sit down, but charge you for it (3E). Would return.

The restaurant was featured in a booklet provided by the hotel and the fact that it focused on Austrian food , my wife and I decided to seek it out. We met the proprietor who was doing some work outside and he broke off to show us the restaurant and provided us with the menu(In English) to show the variety.A... More

Very close to downtown, in a pedestrian street. A bit crowded, it is good pass by and make a reserve. When sitting out side you may have to share the table. Good meal, but not special at all. Nice service.

We visited Salzburg for a short break recently and found this absolute gem of a restaurant - we enjoyed it that much we ate here twice. I had the goulash and the duck (on the specials board) and both were absolutely delicious. Staff were extremely helpful and on our first visit they arranged for us to share a table with... More

This is another good find on Trip Advisor. The place is off the beaten path and doesn't have a lot of signs out. We ate dinner in the rain outside under the big table umbrellas. The waitress offered to bring us inside, but we were comfortable outside. I had the goulash, which was good and my wife had the pork... More

My wife and I managed to squeeze in here for dinner, and I say squeeze because this place is usually booked out. We sat on a table for 8, along with a couple of other tourists which was fine, as the table was quite big and we had our privacy. We’d had a big lunch so didn’t order much for... More

This was near our hotel in Salzburg and I selected it having just downloaded the Trip Advisor App (using the "Near Me Now" feature - which I like!) It stood out like a beacon - due to having lots of people outside and in but looked full. Too cold for outside in just a shirt so we asked about sitting... More

You do need to book and you may well end up sharing a table with others. We did and it was fun. I recommend dumpling dessert, the surprise is the liquid chocolate centre

First dinner stop in Salzburg. The weather was cool, but my wife and our friends chose to eat outside. The clientele seemed to be a mix of both local residents and visitors to the city (we met a lovely family from Australia at the table next to us). When we arrived at 8 we were immediately seated. The wait staff... More

This place was literally outside our hotel. We found it previously on TA and decided it was our first stop. The food was very good and regional. The beer was tasty and the service was good. The menu was both in German and English.CC accepted.
