Unfortunately we tried to find this restaurant. When asked for directions at a hotel in the same street, we were informed by the concierge that the facility closed down half a year ago (thus in the summer of 2013)

We went here after finishing one of the tours and from the advice of our tour guide. The food was ok but nothing special. I ordered the burger expecting a hamburger but maybe the translation is different in German as I received to rissoles which were very salty. The meals here were all quite expensive and the beer not very... More

Visited Salzburg on a number of occasions and for me, this restaurant can;t be beaten for service, atmosphere or food! Staff are all cheerful and helpful, speaking English well for us with only a limited German vocabulary. they have a wide-ranging menu, with all food freshly prepared and cooked. When you walk in it appears to be a 'pub', with... More

We stopped in here for a quick lunch before the Sound of Music tour - it's right across from the Mirabell Palace - and received excellent, cheerful, quick service. Good beer, yummy garlic soup, fabulous dark bread rolls, and impromptu entertainment in the form of a table of 6 who meet there each Thursday for lunch. They were singing, two... More

An excellent and well-valued meal in the downtown area. Be sure to eat here prior to your evening concert at Mirabell Palace! The Salzburger Schnitzel is most excellent.

The good: 1. Staff was very friendly and service was great 2. Ambiance we very nice 3. Was located right next to our hotel The bad: 1. Food was not very good (had schnitzel and it was pretty flavorless) 2. Price for quality wasn't very good. You can do much better. Try Die Weisse, or cross the river to old... More

We stumbled across this place after walking out of another restaurant where the service was non-existent so it was refreshing to find somewhere where the staff were so attentive. There appeared to be a number of local people in there who had obviously been before and knew the staff - always a good sign. I had goulash which came with... More

What a wonderful find this restaurant was. We sat on the back patio in the chilly Austrian air and so enjoyed every single moment. What a charming place. We shall return someday.

Ate here with a large group and enjoyed the authentic Austrian food. The garlic soup was the best ever. For dessert, ordered Salzburger Nockerl--sweet baked meringue with fruit. One serving is enough for 6. It can take 20 minutes or so, so order ahead.

Friendly, relaxed, full of locals, VERY good food and drink. I went there in February, when it was freezing outside but snug in. For the first course I had Erdapfelrahmsuppe, second Rindersaftgulasch, third Eispalatschinke mit Schokoladensauce, Schlagobers und Fruchtdekor. All excellent, and not too expensive either. Made me very happy.
