Excellent ribs and chicken wings!

Really good food! Try the signature pork ribs/chicken wings! Desserts are fabulous also! Service is very fast. Excellent basic food with very drinkable house beer! Wine is not as good... Price is around 25€ per person for soup, main, dessert and beer/wine.

We had a lovely evening meal here. It specialises in, and is proud of, it's meat dishes, so I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it as I eat very little meat. Wrong. They provided a delicious, imaginative fresh salad for me, while my husband tucked into an excellent meat dish. We sat outside among a number of friendly Austrian visitors who... More

We had a very tasty mixed grill and some good ribs and wings.Staff were friendly and helpful and kindly prepared me a mini ice cream as I was so full after the main course. The beer and housewine were pleasant. It was lovely to be able to eat outside in the courtyard.

In view of the favorable reviews of “Gasthaus zum Heiligen Josef” we were deceived when we entered this restaurant. The rustic furniture and decoration of the non-smokers' area are inharmonious and rather unappealing. Evidently the bare wooden tables without table-cloths shall create the atmosphere of an Austrian or Bavarian pub. This would be alright if the chairs were not extremely... More

Had lunch here today on 2 January as a change from the Augustiner. The food here was good. We had the ribs and wings and our son had the Kaiserschmarren. However, the place completely lacked atmosphere. I cannot put my finger on why this was. The waitress was friendly enough . Comared with Augustiner it was complety lacking character and... More

We asked the desk clerk at our pension where we could get good local food, and he sent us to Zum Heiligen Josef. It was a great choice. The restaurant has a cozy, Old World feel that makes you want to linger. Wish we'd read the other reviews and ordered the ribs, but on the other hand, we can get... More

Christian is a great chef, and the food is always tasty. Our favorites are the wing & rib combo, and the fish platter!!
