Lovely local pub

We had a dinner over there which was absuloutely great!! The food and the local beer was a nice combination with the atmosphere. Crowdy, but still suberb to get together with the people from Klagenfurt!

Stopped in here for a couple of beers and a light lunch. Although little English was spoken, we had a great time drinking and eating and enjoying the local atmosphere.

It's a traditional restaurant in Klagenfurt, but mostly totally full. Also close the bar and restaurants early, so you can't sit and drink the hole night

As always on Saturday the Pumpe was quite crowded at noon for lunch. All the people from the nearby market seem to flock to that place when work has ended. We got a good place at some small side room. I ordered a plate of gulyas after the old hungarian recipe and the waitress brought my meal and also for... More

Not at all what we expected. It's was a cheap smelly pub that sold food and absolutely not a nice restaurant. No tea or coffee - limited choice of starters and the salads were unimaginative. Not a particularly pleasant environment to spend an evening - rather a shame as Austrian restaurants are usually much nicer than this.

I must say I was very happy when I entered the Pumpe. Just tipical austria restaurant. I had Pumpe soup and my friend meni for that day. The portions are large which is great and the price is solid. You must go there.

Great goulash and local Pumpe beer. There are a lot of local people there. Lovely staff and interesting interior with lots od picture on the wall,on the tables are set old postcards from different countries and it was funy to read them until the food comes. It's easy to find pub, next to local market place.

About 70% frequenter would not allow any change of the interieur. Everything is well used what make the place extremely homely. The owner couple are working there every day and waitresses wellcome you by name. For many it's their second living room. Better Gulasch you can't find and the always fresh and well cooled Puntigamer Beer demands to drink more... More

We really enjoyed this gasthaus. Great goulash and kasnudel. The beer is very good too. We are planning a trip back to Klagenfurt next year and we are looking forward to another visit.
