When I first went to Klagenfurt everybody were telling me that I have to have lunch at Augustin. So I went... more than once! The wienerschnitzel is a good choice if you are hungry and their local beer is quite good.

A nice Austrian restaurant. It is a big place. It has its own beer and it is very good (very drinkable, light and refreshing). Service and atmosphere are very good.Prices are OK for Austria. Food is excellent. As a appetizer we had 3 slices of rye bread with three different toppings. It was great. You can eat bread alone how... More

Excellent food, good services and atmosphere, decent prices. The traditional cuisine is excellent, but you can drop by even if you don't want to eat for some tasty beer.

Vast, crowded beer house near the center, plenty of row and smoke: people smoked also where it was prohibited. I found a table in a small room smokeless (maybe because there was nobody there!). Ruffled but kind service, mainly of a young nice waitress. The dishes were fairly good, but heavy and huge; at least the bill has been light.... More

We went to Augustin as it is known as traditional place with their own beer. When we came there were no free seats and we were placed with some other people on a table. This table was located outside, but not at the street. Service was very fast and good - and positive for us they had menu in English.... More

The beer was ok but the food was just correct, simplistic and little overpriced for what we got. The waiter was not the most sympathetic of the world either. We were placed in a "non smoking area" next to the "smoking area" that had no boundaries, so we got lots of smoke for our 2y old daughter.

The service at Augustin is really friendly and the house beer is highly recommended. The food is traditional and is cooked well.
