Just outstanding. Michelin-starred restaurant with all you might be interested in. It is located in a real hangar. The owner stoers at the same hangar, where the restaurant, pub and bar are, many of his leisure items. Formulas. Air plains, motor bikes ... All what the owner normally uses is exhibited here. Part of the space is dedicated to the... More

We have dined in many fine restaurants around the world and are prepared to wait for food to be properly prepared...but this was unacceptable. We ordered "only" 5 of 9 courses and spent 3.5 hours...and left a bit hungry. Now the issue might be that we do not drink which seemed to bother the staff -- but it also left... More

The Famous Ikarus is a highlight in Salzburg. The menu and the wine was excellent, the service was attentive and extra polite. After the 5 course (all was PERFECT!) we paid 400 EUR, which was a bit much... But once in a lifetime..., why not?!

Ikarus is housed in the giant Hanger Seven complex (owned by the co-founder of Red Bull) and is housed in a museum of classic planes. A ten minute taxi ride from the centre of Salzburg on the back side of the airport, the restaurant engages a different world-class chef each month to create the menu. The three-star Michelin chef when... More

Why? That´s easy... Just take a perfect location (a new hangar full with big "toys" like F1-cars, planes and copters), add the best available service team, a superb chef (Roland Trettl) and don´t forget the secret ingredience: the will of everlasting learning of the whole Ikarus-team! Every month they invite a two or three star chef (from all over the... More

It’s difficult for me to decide on an overall rating for Ikarus. I have never experienced such fantastic service, and the atmosphere was so unusual and dreamy that I really enjoyed those two aspects of my dining experience at Ikarus. But I was less pleased with the innovative and exotic food from Chef Daniel Patterson (USA); I guess my palate... More

I went there during my business trip in Salzburg. Lot's of my friend recommend this restaurant Hangar 7. It was one of the best evenings I ever had and fantastic. The service was very professional, serious and friendly. The restaurant is best in class and over exceptional, great atmosphere. Highly recommended and would come again.

We loved the visual experience of Hangar7. The food was really OK, just not as exceptional as one would expect from the lead up to it. I felt that nothing really stood out as exceptional. It is hard to explain...perhaps they try too hard, and it is not worth the cost.

unless you have that certain door opening name or your partern does: reserverve well in advance if you want food. the bar is always open and a lesser problem. food heavily depends on the current chef. the setting is very modern and stylish. go there for dirinks only in the roof top bar....very njice ynd posh considering salzburg is but... Having been here by myself in 2010, my wife and I went together a year later for lunch. And what an experience it was! First off, my wife doesn't have anything with planes, but the (free!) museum even captured her interest. We then went to the Ikarus restaurant for our lunch experience. Every month there is another Michelin star chef... More
