Near Uhrtum Clock Tower

We stop in to the restaurant because it was located at the base of the Uhrtum Clock Tower. Our waiter spoke very good English and walked us through the menu. This place has wonderful local fare. My goulash with Nokedli, was tinder, hot and oh so delicious. My wife wienershnitzel was stuffed... read more

Tried this restaurant out whilst on a day trip to Graz. Seemed like a nice place to visit after coming down from the Schlossberg and Uhrturm. Waiters were friendly and put up with my pigeon German (I like to try) then presented us with an English menu. We opted for the breaded chicken fillet salad and beef goulash. Both plates... More

Looking for a bite to eat and wanting some more traditional Austrian food, we visit the Alte Munze. It is also quite easy to stumble across at the base of one of the entrances to the Schlossberg. The Schnitzel was large, tasty and freshly cooked. The side salad with pumpkin seed oil was also great. Good solid traditional Austrian Fare!

We had THE best schnitzel here, we also got the local salad that was very good. Beer was great and atmosphere was nice. We visited in January so not crowded at all but can imagine it gets busy in the spring/summer. Great location right below the Schlossberg.

Perfect location right in the center of historic Graz, delightful ambience and great austrian cuisine. We had Schnitzels, Tafelspitz and Deer Stew, all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The interior is delightful, I sat outside as it faces a pleasant square with the Four Birds Fountain nearby. My dinner choice was Schnitzel filled with ham, onions,& peppers served with semi-boiled/roasted potatoes. It was very tasty & would have been more complete with pumpkin in this Pumpkin Capital! Maybe a green vegetable too!!

Without any prejudice and information about the restaurant, we entered the lovely place at the little square hoping for the best. However, nearly everything ended in big disappointment. My aunt ordered Wiener schnitzel with potatoes. She was served with few parts of meat which did not look as they should (I know what I am talking about, a month ago... More

Oudoor dining at foot of steps up to Schlossberg. Pumpkin soup is a Styrian speciality and it is excellent here, with a freshly baked roll to go with it. Rocket salad with crispy bacon, potatoes, drizzled with pumpkin oil made for a very good light lunch. Service is friendly and efficient.

After being ignored for about 20 minutes we had to ask the waitress to being us the menu. Our table was dirty, no one seemed to have cleaned it after the previous costumers had left. When one of the waiters finally decided to take our order, we were informed that the restaurant was all out of bread. Not a single... More

Old-fashioned Austrian/Graz style pub restaurant with good food, reasonably priced. Sitting outside, one can watch the world go by in the Schlossbergplatz.
