This is something of a favourite for me. Certainly the food is always very good, service is pleasant and the building attractive. I have always found it reliable as both a lunch and dinner venue, and it is obviously popular. Most of the staff speak excellent English and there is much variety in the very Austrian menu. Glockl beer is... More

The Glocklbrau is big and nice, with a good selection of traditional food and multilanguage menus (even though the translation on the Italian one was really poor). You should definitely try the soup with meat strudel and their self-brewed beer! Prices are ok: we spent less than 20€ per person ordering one starter, one main course and a drink each.... More

The Glöcklbräu is a usually super crowded place that offers typical regional dishes like Wienerschnitzel and roast pork at a good price of an unimpressive quality. The place has the flair of a large-scale kitchen, everything is really greasy but still the place kind of has a really typical Austrian flair.

I was touring Graz and ended up by chance at this restaurant which was packed and had a large outside seating area, shaded with umbrellas. We decided to sit down and were warmly greeted by our waitress. Menu was available in english, and our helpful table neighbours pointed out that that small skillets we were seeing around were the famous... More

Just good Austrian-style food, no frills, cost effective. Very popular with locals, young people, students.

Good place for having hearty local meals and beer. BTW, they don;t brew their own beer, but Puntigamers brews beers for them. Good selection of meals, stuff is quick and friendly.

The brew their own beer which is good. The lunchtime specials are usually good value. Pleasant in summer when you can sit outside.

Located close to the main street, this restaurant is a nice surprise in terms of food, beer and prices. The portions are large, the food is very good and the service is very friendly. Do try the topfenstrudel!
