We came here on a wet Sunday afternoon when you crave the food that sticks to your bones and fills you and gives you the warm feeling. This is the reason we came here as this place has the reputation for good wholesome food. Well we both ordered the tomato soup which did taste of tomato but it wasn't anything... More

We spent NYE in Graz and ate twice in this nice restaurant in the historical centre (unfo lots of restaurant were closed on 31.12 and we actually didn't know where to go apart from Glock Brau tried the previous day). It is a typical austrian guesthouse with nice staff, yet not all of them speaks English. I think it is... More

This place is just near the 'must see' Glockenspiel attraction. They are offering traditional Austrian food. We've loved the Kasespacle (hope I am spelling it right, it is cheese nudle), the spareribs and the Schnitzel. The local beers are also very nice, but be cautious they are strong. If you have 'sweettooth' don't miss the desert I am recommending the... More

Ribs looked fantastic, the Schnitzel is great, watch out for the really strong dark beer. Great night had here.

... but nevertheless excellent beer (ask for the in-house brewed brand) and decent "Austrian" food in the center of Graz. Especially recommedable in summer when you can sit outside. Service could be improved, maybe stereotype "Dirndl" and "Lederhose" supposed to present Austrian culture, limit service speed.

Nice terrace situated right in the center of Graz - good beer & pretzels. Really nice atmosphere - right next to the clock tower.

The waitress explained the menu very clearly with English and suggested which one is the recommended dish. My friend said wrong menu when ordered and just realized it when it came out as menu that he could not eat. The waitress offered him to change the dish. Although that was my friend's mistake. What a super service! And here was... More

We were lucky enough to enjoy an hour or so of people watching and relaxing outside this charming restaurant. Ordered the local weissbier and asked for pretzels which were 1 euro or so a piece and came out on a cute pretzel stand. Had dinner here another night which was wonderful.

This is something of a favourite for me. Certainly the food is always very good, service is pleasant and the building attractive. I have always found it reliable as both a lunch and dinner venue, and it is obviously popular. Most of the staff speak excellent English and there is much variety in the very Austrian menu. Glockl beer is... More
