Description: The Magnolia is a restaurant which self-confidently tests the limits of good taste – in a positive sense. Austrian-Mediterranean ingredients go into the pot, and top international cuisine emerges. It’s not just Gault Millau and the Falstaff who appreciate this with their limitless enthusiasm. It's anyone who has ever eaten here.

Easy to see why this one is rated so highly. Treated to lunch by son and wife and had really great food. The restaurant is linked to the adjacent hotel. Its location is a little away from the centre and in an area that needs some tender loving care. The food however needs no improvement. Service was impeccable. Choice of... More

We've been to Magnolia twice already, second time with our nine-year-old son. Food was extraordinary every time. A 3 course meal comes with a few extras (small prestarter, amuse bouche, bread with various spreads, palate cleanser) and is more than enough, even for hungrier diners. Suggested wine went nicely with the food. Service was great as well. Loved the fact... More

We had booked into into the hotel next door and we went for food for convenience. Little did we know we were in for such a treat of high quality food and service. The staff were so friendly and brought us lots of delights to try before our main course started. We will back next we visit Graz

We were tired and hungry and needed to eat, and tis was our only option. We ordered and for the next hour were presented with bits and pieces that we had not ordered and did not want. By the time our meal came we were over the whole experience. I can appreciate a fine dining experience like anyone else but... More

In all honesty when you pay EUR300 for two you should expect a lot... The food was great but being kicked out at 10:30pm because the restaurant closes? Sorry... Graz is not that provincial or is it?

Choice of this restaurant was a purely convenience as we stayed at Augarten Hotel. We did not have table booked, so we just turned up. Straight from the entrance, place airs class and elegance. Little problematic was ordering food for a kid, so we asked something to be made that was not available on the menu. Dishes served are really... More

Booked a table in English, they had a English menu printed out for me. The young waiting staff were really helpful and nice and tried there best to speak English with me. The bread, butter and truffle cream, salami we got to start was really nice. We even ordered a glass of champagne to have with it. Only little negative... More

Adjacent to the Augartenhotel and about a 15 minute walk from the center of Graz. Food is at a very high level, not just for Austria, but compared to anywhere in the world. Small restaurant with perhaps 20 tables. Service is very good. Food is imaginative and plated with flair. This is European contemporary food - if you are looking... More
