The Magnolia is a restaurant which self-confidently tests the limits of good taste – in a positive sense. Austrian-Mediterranean ingredients go into the pot, and top international cuisine emerges. It’s not just Gault Millau and the Falstaff who appreciate this with their limitless enthusiasm. It's anyone who has ever eaten here.

Excellent dinner

Excellent dinner, went there for the "Heringsschmaus". You can take three to six courses, separate meals freely interchangeably, if you can't choose, you can take a recommended menu.

I was staying in Graz in the art and design hotel and I didn t feel like going far for dinner after a busy day. So I crossed the yard to restaurant Magnolia. They had only one table by the bar because all the rest was reserved and nearly full. It was one of the best dinners I ever had... More

We have been there four times now and every time the kitchen knows how to surprise and delight. The food is mostly made with Local Styrian ingredients, there is always a variety of different courses on the menu which you can freely arrange to the menu you like. I don't think you can find comparable haute cuisine for these relatively... More

The two of us stayed a couple of days at the Augarten hotel (see separate feedback) and had heard of the splendid reputation of the Magnolia, so asked them to make a reservation for us upon arrival (Sunday) for Monday night as the hotel does not operate on Sundays like most restaurants in Austria. Apparently there is no online booking... More

Fresh and very tasty food. Very friendly staff. A bit more expensive so good for special occasions. You will not regret going there, but be ready to pay more than 50 Euro per person.

I staid for a night in the Augarten Hotel and the Magnolia was recommended for me. Wow - what great food! Yes, it had its price BUT: the food was excellent, the service could not have been better (great support by choosing the right wine for the food)!

We had a 4-course menu. Exceptional taste and quality of the food. Impeccible service. Quite expensive, but worth the money. If I ever return to Graz, I will return to Magnolia!

Visited Magnolia on a business trip to Graz. I had the daily special menu which was five courses, with several 'presents' from the kitchen thrown in. The food was excellent with great combinations of taste and textures. The restaurant was very busy and unfortunately, the service albeit very attentive, was quite slow. Would recommend the food, but not if you... More

Visited in December with a couple of friends due to the high recommendation from reviewers of Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed, the food was amazing - the highlight was the steak tartare, highly recommended. The venue itself is small but gives an intimate feel rather than being claustrophobic. Overall is a must eat restaurant if you are visiting Graz.
