Our first time here, my wife ordered spaghetti with clams that was terrific. The next night we both ordered it and it was pretty bad, almost tasteless, apparently due to the kitchen (and the chef) being overtaxed. We were going to go back and try again, but didn't get around to it. So I'm basing this review on the first... More

Our meal at the Danieli was one of the best meals in Vienna. If you need a change from the sausage and schnitzel this is the place to go. There is a large menu and the food was excellent. The service was wonderful. Our hotel booked the reservation and thankfully since the place was packed. It was a rainy night... More

You are sure to find this great place on the main street of the vienna city center. Out side seating is perfect on a mid summer day. The interior brings you to a classic Italian surrounding. The food was scrumptious but the only downside is the smart sizing of the potions. The place is always filled up so you might... More

This is a friendly and not over-expensive restaurant considering the central location, so you can probably do fine with a good pizza or a pasta here. The desserts, however, was the evenings surprise, all three of them, which took us quite by surprise. After our ordinary but satisfying caprese classica serving, my company had the lasagna and it lacked flavour.... More

We came across this Italian restaurant by chance and we were very pleased with service we got. It is just in the old Vienna center a few minutes from cathedral and next to the new Peek & Clopp. The menu is usual for Italian restaurants. We tried carpaccio, pasta, dessert. We liked it so much that we came back the... More

Wanted a non-meat meal and Danieli's was great. There were many, many fish and vegetable options to choose from - the 2nd hardest thing of the meal was choosing between dishes; the first hardest was finishing the generous portions. My husband started with grilled white asparagus and prosciutto - it was a meal just by itself and was delectable. I... More

This restaurant is close to the pedestrian area in the center, close to the Opera and cathedral. The restaurant is huge and one can choose to go the the back and experience a different more Roman ambiance. We had dpagetti frutto de mare and it was delicious, the wine list is incredible excellent choice and the wine cellar is a... More

When you're ready to take a break from all the sausage and schnitzel Vienna offers, check out Danieli for some delicious Italian food. I had the garlic bread (definitely get this!) and basil ravioli (delish!) Would definitely recommend.

We stumbled across Danieli whilst looking for somewhere to eat on our last evening in Vienna. We normally like to eat the food of the country we are in but we felt we'd 'done that' and decided to find somewhere near our hotel so looked for somewhere that cooked pizza in a wood fired oven. Well, once we were seated... More
