My wife is very picky when it comes to Asian food. She is from Asia and always find difficulty in eating Asian food in Europe as the taste differs a lot. However, this time I enjoyed listening to her talking about the quality, the taste and the spicy flavor of this restaurant. The staff are friendly and the price is... More

My wife and I had dinner here. We found this place using Trip Advisor. We had Tom Yum Prawns soup and two other main dishes. Jasmine tea for drinks. The food was tasty and the service was good. The table was very small though. Prices are expensive but this is Monaco, the play ground for the rich.

What a wonderful experience to stumble on this little Thai food restaurant during a day trip to Monaco on the French Rivera. We were pleased to sit outside on the covered patio and found the service to be quite attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious and seemed very fresh. After lots of French and Italian food, we must say... More

22€50 for a salad you would have as a appetizer ... Truly, I 'm not over reacting at all. Don't expect to eat enough for less than 40€. Eating everyday around the "Place d'armes", I can only advise you to go anywhere else.

A small restaurant not so easy to find but with excellent food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere and rhythms are ideal for a romantic dinner and the beer is very cold.Don't come if you are really hungry and in a hurry ....

My family and I were very lucky to get the last available table on New Year's Eve as we had not reserved. We were greeted by the lady owner who is very friendly and speaks excellent English. The rest of the staff were equally as friendly and smartly dressed. The restaurant was full to bursting within an hour of us... More

The meal is very good comparing with the other asian restaurant in europe which mostly mix asian. Thai, vietnam and chinese food, and makes them taste confusingly thai or viet or chinese. But this royal thai is truly thai food. Nestled beautifully in alley in the centre of monaco. Easy to reach, several public parking surroinding too. the service is... More

We had lunch at the Royal Thai, hoping for some good Thai food. We weren't disappointed. The menu of the day includes a starter, main plate and coffee for 17E. A very good bottle of white wine rounded out our meal for less than 60E for the two of us. The starter was the usual nem but also included two... More

I just read some reviews on the Royal Thai and it makes me wonder about the (lack of...) culture of some travellers. But being in a democratic world, there shall be no complain judgement or pointing fingers.... I love the food from every Asian country and find the Thai cuisine even more delicate and especial with so many nuances of... More

Thank you Caturiri. You are exactly the sort of person we are striving to please. Someone who knows Thai cuisine and does not expect a pseudo asian/european style food. We really appreciate your comments. Next time you come please tell Daranee who you are. More

Average quality of food, with high prices. Better in London for sure. The food is well cooked, although being in Monte Carlo and in such a nice furnished place u do expect better, especially compared to the prices they offer. Sweets and desserts: nothing really so typical. Fried food was anyway well done, not greasy or heavy.

Obviously it is a question of personal taste. All our Thai visitors who know and understand Thai cooking rave about our food. We cook genuine Thai style using as many Thai ingredients as we can source locally. These are expensive to obtain but despite that the average spend in the restaurant in October was €31.84. We believe we provide good... More
