Ah, what a brilliant place. We had to go for a last lunch today on our way home and despite it being full with a busload of Cypriot pensioners it was high standard and friendly. I am a bit offended by Watson 1922 as well - does the number refer to the right wing Tory thinktank? If so even more... More

We ate here as a group and it really does have a great atmosphere. Very busy tavern and friendly, chatty staff. It gets very busy here so you may need to make a reservation or go early. The only downside was most of the meze came out at once so some was cold by the time you got to eat... More

Me and my family have been eating here since 2003 and cannot fault it. Andreas and his team and family all I've great service. The food is always good and plenty of it. This year they have helped us find a villa for the next years holiday and they will even teach you some Greek which my step dad picked... More

The food was excellent and the welcome very good. We went to dine at Moustakallis twice in the 4 days we were at Polis and both times the food was well cook and oil kept to a minimum. We were offered complementary alcoholic drinks but we refuse (already too much alcohol in the blood for the day) and the staff... More

I have visited this lovely restaurant several times with family and friends over the last 5 years and have rarely been disappointed with either the food or the service ( even The Savoy in London gets it wrong sometimes) I am rather offended by the comments of "Watson 1922". If you want fine dining in a discreet atmosphere, there are... More

We have eaten here several times over the past 4 years and thoroughly enjoy the food, attention from staff and the entertainment. The last visit was the Cypriot traditional night which was fun if you are into audience participation but not a problem if you aren't. The dancing was traditional with some very skilful balancing acts which kept your attention... More

I cannot understand why this place is getting good reviews. Well I can - just look at the people who are typically eating there! It is the busiest restaurant in Polis by far, but also the worst. Atmosphere is liking eating in a converted barn at school tables. Very noisy. Staff over friendly in that slightly tacky way. Food is... More

Dear guest, From the way you wrote your review I'm certainly sure that you haven't been taught to be respectful for other people, but I will not use the same language. The people who typically eat here they are humans and not animals eating in barns. I don't think that we are the busiest restaurant (as you have very well... More

This was our third visit to Cyprus and once again we dined at Moustakallis. Our party of 3 all had different dishes each time we ate here, the stifado was just wonderful with a deep rich sauce and served with fluffy rice. The steaks were enormous, my husband had the steak diane and I had the steak with pepper sauce,... More

We ate at Moustakallis twice during our week's stay and on both occasions thoroughly enjoyed the food (especially the Mesa) and the attentive service. We also liked the Tuesday evening Cyrpiot/Greek night.
