Back to the flintstones (in a good way )

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions and always look forward to our return visit to cyprus so we can endulge ourselves in a return visit to the last castle. The food is a choice of chicken or pork but what a feast. The staff are always very pleasant and the views spectacular. It... read more

I have been to the last castle on many occasions, however the last two occasion, were, to put it politely, disappointing. When you consider that our old jalopy nearly collapsed on the non existing road, I thought, well it will be worth it. The pork will be succulent and juicy, and the chicken will be breast and thighs, which when... More

Table booked for eleven people. Virtually no choice for a vegitarian meal so my wife ended up with a small salad, a few chips and some insidious bean plate which she could not eat. The disappointment wnen, with no itemized bill, she had to pay the same as everyone else in the party.16.00euros. Some had two beers and some only... More

Only choice is chicken or pork. Fantastic taste. Unbelivable chips. Great views. A great stop for lunch after walking in the gorge. I strongly recommend a trip here. Don't let the unsurfaced road put you off.

We walked a part of the Avgas gorge, which I can recommend everyone. Headed to the beach and saw this taverna on top of the mountain. Decided to have a lunch instead of dinner. We didn't know what to expect. The combination of this really simple but honest food, the cold large beer and wine, the temperature and the magnificent... More

This is an amazing restaurant on top of the hill. Good to have lunch after a walk true the gorge. Good bbq food, amazing views and nice staff. It's worth the 2.5 hour drive from Protaras.
