So far the most authentic cypriot meal in pathos..

Do not be put off by the lack of loud music and bright lights ,this taverna demonstrated the Cypriot cooking you dream about. Fantastic moussaka, delicious stifado. Great home made chips, lovely veg and salad. Our first time there , everybody else there on repeat visits!. We plan to go back soon.

Popped in for a bite to eat and ended up having the meze. 10 courses with salad, pitta and dips. Very nice, but some of the dishes are an acquired tasteWell worth the price

Friendly owners, amazing food and away from the main rabble! Moussaka is just delicious - its just a shame you have to wait for it to cool down before you can dive in!

We had a great supper here on our last night in Cyprus. You got a warm welcome and good food on this chilly evening in March. It was also excellent value. Definitely worth a visit if you like authentic Cypriot food.

We were in Paphos just last week so not everywhere had yet opened for the season. Went to Argo based on the Lonely Planet review and we were not disappointed. The place was full both times we went - the 2nd time was klefitko night which is only Tuesdays and Saturdays and there were tables of locals which is always... More

The Argo was suggested to us by a local when I asked "Where would you eat" and I can see why! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the place itself felt entirely authentically Cypriot and our meal was extremely good value for money. We were dining on our own at first but the place was full by the... More

Local family run taverna in centre of Paphos, along a quite side road. Lovely food at such great value. We went on their special Kleftico night (Tuesday and Saturday) and it was excellent. In fact we had far too much lamb and the owner kindly bagged up the leftovers which we enjoyed in sandwiches for the next 2 days. Truly... More

We have just returned from our holiday in Paphos, as usual made all the more special by our visits to Argo. Over the years we have found nowhere better to enjoy a delicious leisurely evening meal. We totally agree with comments from other people certainly the best moussaka you will taste anywhere, do order kleftiko but ensure you are hungry!... More

Went to Argo after seeing very good reviews. We found the food mediocre and generally over cooked. The lady seated on the next table was unhappy with her chicken dish because she said it was overcooked, dry and chewy. The owner came to their table and was totally outraged. He was beside himself that someone had complained and he could... More
