As recommended by a local...

The Argo was suggested to us by a local when I asked "Where would you eat" and I can see why! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the place itself felt entirely authentically Cypriot and our meal was extremely good value for money. We were dining on our own at first but the place... read more

Local family run taverna in centre of Paphos, along a quite side road. Lovely food at such great value. We went on their special Kleftico night (Tuesday and Saturday) and it was excellent. In fact we had far too much lamb and the owner kindly bagged up the leftovers which we enjoyed in sandwiches for the next 2 days. Truly... More

We have just returned from our holiday in Paphos, as usual made all the more special by our visits to Argo. Over the years we have found nowhere better to enjoy a delicious leisurely evening meal. We totally agree with comments from other people certainly the best moussaka you will taste anywhere, do order kleftiko but ensure you are hungry!... More

Went to Argo after seeing very good reviews. We found the food mediocre and generally over cooked. The lady seated on the next table was unhappy with her chicken dish because she said it was overcooked, dry and chewy. The owner came to their table and was totally outraged. He was beside himself that someone had complained and he could... More

We were very happy that found this restaurant(thank you, tripadviser). The food is delicious. The price is good. The staff is nice. We were having supper there three times! (If only we got know about this place earlier!..). Try musaka and kleftiko (preoder). You'll definitely love this place!

We went here as it was recommended in the Lonely Planet. We went for the mezze and there were about 10 different dishes. The owner warned us that we had to be hungry, and we managed to eat the lot! The food was varied and delicious. The owner was attentive and friendly. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant,... More

I go here every time we visit Paphos for the Mousaka, it is the best I have ever had, the prices are really reasonable and the Cypriot food is excellent. A lovely, value for money, genuine and traditional Cypriot restaurant.

This small restaurant is located just off bar street and serves a wide range of classic Cypriot dishes for excellent prices. Yiangos (the owner/ manager) is always very welcoming. The drinks prices are amongst the best in Paphos, overall the whole package is really good, and the Moussaka truly amazing!.
