Will go there, again and again and again!

We were pleasantly surprised. If we knew about the road works we wouldn't have gone and in all honesty we almost turned back to go home, but we were glad we didn't. The service was extremely pleasant and efficient. And the waiters were Cypriot!! By itself an amazing achievement in Cyprus nowadays where one cannot use one's own language to... More

The long drive, coupled with the roadwork outside the restaurant, made the journey not that worthwhile. The venue is very interesting and well decorated, and there’s a very interesting wine cellar too. The food was very good and the service likewise. So where’s the catch? Answer: in the wine list. Prices even for a regular Cyprus wine are on the... More

The restaurant is a nice old renovated house that kept the traditional look, there is a nice wine cellar in the basement and a lot of Cypriot village memorabilia. We had the Cypriot Mezze which was very tasty - It is not what regular mezze is like, the chef plays a bit with his imagination but the result is tasty... More

Most restaurants found in small villages in Cyprus tick a lot of the boxes in relation to friendly service and good food but they pay little attention to style, professionalism or conservation of the villages historical characteristics. Archoniko Papadopoulou ticks all of the above boxes too and offers food and service which are well above the average.

This is the most surprisingly place in the middle of a sleepy village, which in itself seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Somewhere between Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca you'll find this quiet village with this most magnificiant, renovated building. The interior décor and design is second to none. A must see for most visitors to Cyprus, and indeed... More

Everything looked so promising when we arrived; the welcome with rose water and the ambience of the place is wow! The house is restored carefully keeping its old charm and reflects a very good image as a restaurant. Personally, I thought this would be all in all an excellent lunch and everything would go on flawless.... In the end it... More

Today we had a great experience when we visited Archontikon Papadopoulu's restaurant in Kornos in the distrikt of Larnaca. We were 45 persons who went there for lunch after having visited Nicosia. And what a lunch! The best we had ever eaten. The restaurant, built in 1890, has kept it's atmosphere, and the staff, dressed very neatly met us with... More

On entering the restaurant the traditional rose water was offered to everyone to clean the hands and then a warm mulled Commandaria was served to put diners in the Christmas mood. Their Christmas menu was full of Cypriot dishes cooked in a novel way and many were served in clay pots - taking Cypriot cuisine to another level. Only thing... More
