Excellent location and atmosphere, wonderful meze and reasonable prices. Beer was icy cold, perfect for the hot summer months, food was served quickly, and we were even treated to traditional sweets and liqueur mastiha! In weekends there is also live Greek music, which is definitely welcomed. Will visit again surely.

We were taken here by Grahame at Shema Villa. He introduced us to the owner, Costas, and our great night started from there. This is a traditional taverna family run with food they make from their own farm. So much you wont believe and very good price. Live music, locals dancing, people singing. Lots of fun yet charming and beautiful.

Go there! The food is very good, the owner and his international family are more then ok. A lot of meze, plenty of salads, meat, vegetables , very well prepared. Taste everything, it's an experience worth it! They have also, their wine, very good. The prices are good. If it's weekend you can listen greek music. The inside and the... More

The perfect night to be there is Friday. Lots of meze dishes, good service, although its always packed with the numbers reaching more than 200 guests. The live greek music, and a cyprus folk dancing group makes locals and visitors to get up and dance endlessly.

A lively evening to be had by one and all - not to be recommended if you fancy a quiet, romantic evening! We visited mid week and the taverna was full to capacity and no tourists - a good indication of quality and reasonable prices. The mezze itself was average, nothing memorable about the food. We ordered six mezzes but... More

There are no menus, its a Meze or nothing and the food is local and delicious .. and you get to make your own Cypriot Coffee at the end .. a little out of the way and we booked a week in advance

We had Cyprus-meze (variety dishes), as our Sunday-lunch, the whole family. The food was tasty and plenty ( not good for those on diet), the service quick and prises reasonable. Self-service for the desserts and made our cyprus-coffee by ourselves. The music is only at nights. The tavern located at Ayia Anna village, about half hour from Nicosia or Larnaca.

We were here to celebrate a christening and instead of the usual Meze we had a buffet serving both hot and cold food which was excellent. We were a party of 120 people. The choice of dishes and the speed with which empty dishes were replaced was first class. Desserts and coffee also very good. This is the first time... More

I have visited the tavern a few times in the past, and admittedly, had a nice summery atmosphere and was an overall enjoyable experience. My latest visit 2 weeks ago, however, tells of a disappointing evolution of what could have been a great place. The tavern has taken advantage of it's reputation to try and cram as many customers as... More
