This is a pretty cafe and an ideal place to get out of the sun for half an hour. We sat by the fountain watching the terapins and fish. There is an amazing selection of cakes and pastries but we tried the Turkish icecream, you eat it with a knife and fork not a spoon. I think it has gum... More

Lovely restaurant we sat upstairs which was open with a balcony and so was cooler. Very large selection of cakes downstairs must be seen.

During the almost 30 times I've been in Famagusta, I went to Petek just once and it was enough ! The only "specials" are the prices, nothing else.

Stumbled across this little diamond whilst walking. Food is amazing and you must checkout the Turkish Delight sweet shop inside. Service is first class and with three areas to sit, eat and chat it's a must if you want really good service. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

Yes folks you heard right, Petek Patisserie is one of the most expensive restaurant/patisseries in Famagusta. We don't come here because they drove up their prices for tourists and offer nothing special in particular. If you want to eat , try Aspava just up the road or for drinking coffee/eating lunch, try Roberts Coffee on the main Salamis Road that... More

Visited again. Go upstairs for best experience. Service, food and drinks all good. This is a classic Cypriot patisserie / restaurant but although popular with locals it has become abit of a foreign tourist trap. As a result I think it is quiet expensive. Irrespective a place you should go when visiting 'old' Famagusta.

My girlfriend and I have made Petek "our restaurant" over the years because of the delicious ice cream, sumptuous meals, the relaxed lunge-like arrangement upstairs and the open balcony. If you go there in the evening, I recommend that you try the chicken steak which is cooked just right and has the best texture in the mouth I have ever... More

Been coming here on and off for the last 20 years during visits to Cyprus-no trip to Famagusta is complete without a visit to Petek's. In the winter months it's cosy and comforting and sells lovely cakes-has done for as long as anyone can remember. In the summer, it offers shelter from the sun and cooling drinks and ice creams.... This is a must visit venue when in Famagusta(Northern Cyprus)....a simply divine experience. The traditional Turkish Delight confectionary is displayed in a very Victorian setting and is a 'much snapped' destination. Situated within 50 metres of the famous battle scarred old wall ramparts it is an exquisite setting. Ideal for a light snack or confectionary(cakes a speciality)....I would recommends the... More
