This restaurant is in a handsome old building and is one of maybe two restaurants in town that have regional food (one of the others closed up this summer). I like the food but if you are French or don't like German cuisine you will not enjoy it. It's a nice place to bring visitors. Service and prices are typical... More

So, It's funny to say that place has a romantic atmosphere since I was there eating businesslike. But, this is the place where I could take my wife to. I would define place like one which mixes historic charm with good food. I ate black sausages, red cabbage and mashed potato. Liked that. Service was good. I did not like... More

Am Tiirmchen consists of a series of cosy rooms in a medieval building in the centre of Luxembourg City - lots of interesting old stonework and other detail. The restaurant specialises in local German-style dishes and we enjoyed a mixed cold meat starter, smoked pork, steak and local dumplings washed down with Luxembourg riesling from the famous village of Schengen... Our concierge at the Sofitel sent us here after I told him I wanted some classic Regional food (Luxembourgish). He hit the nail on the head. Beautiful little cozy restaurant, with exposed stone and beams hidden off cobble stone streets. The service was very good, it was quiet that evening, and the staff spent some time discussing the dishes with... More

Spotted this through my Lonely Planet guidebook, which surprisingly had good recommendations (I usually not a big self catering person on vacation which they really used to emphasize). I would recommend this restaurant. I was attracted by the aspect of eating a local dish- how often am I in Luxembourg? It is in a part of old town with many... More

Travelling to a new city and finding a restaurant that makes you comfortable and delivers quality food with a smile at reasonable prices is often a challenge. AM Tiirmschen is possibly the oldest restaurant in the city and takes pride in looking after its customers. It has a fine selection of local dishes or a wide range of international to... More

I've never tried the Luxembourg cuisine but, if this restaurant is any indication, I'll definately be trying some recipes at home. The atmosphere in this restaurant lends well to the hearty food which is served. When we arrived (at 19:00), we were the only ones in the restaurant and I was a bit worried ... half an hour later every... More

It is too bad for them, because I find that they can do better. For example, the service! We had been for dinner, but found very long between the entree and the main dish.....Speaking of dishes, I say too bad because they can do better, as their products look like fresh. But i was overcooked, dry...We've chosen this restaurant because... More

This seems to be the most recommended place for Luxembourgish food in the city, so we decided to give it a go. The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu was interesting. I opted for the local platter of charcuterie which was excellent, and a local Moselle wine which was also excellent. However the main courses weren't nearly as... More

We went to this restaurant tonight upon the recommendation of a local officer working in the train station. First of all, in order to check what the restaurant offers, when we got to the restaurant, we asked for the menu to the lady who is responsible. She unhappily and without saying a word gave the menu to us. We should... More
