Great place for local Luxembourg flavor

The concierge at the Sofitel recommended this place when I said I wanted someplace that wasn't fancy and had great local food. Without hesitation, he recommended Am Tiirmschen. Was a wonderful recommendation and meal of food that had a distinctive german influence. Would recommend to anyone... read more

There are a few restaurants in the area and we picked this one because it says its luxembough cuisine.  4 if us ordered different things and we tried a bit of each others dish. Lambshank was the best dish.  Steak was good.  For the veal dish they put melted cheese on top of the meat which is quite different from... More

It was hard to find but well inside, the atmosphere is great, food was different but really good and the staff friendly. All in all, it was way better than expected. Where else can you get Luxembourgish cuisine?

We went there as a group of friends as we wanted to show some typical food to one of our friends visiting luxembourg. The place is nice and cosy! 2 of us ordered the "kniddelen" and we got a portion as big as a side order... (For 20€) (We're not big eaters, but went to a fast food restaurant afterwords...)... More

Stumbled upon this place by accident while walking through the old town and for a random choice very good. The decor and ambience were interesting a good menu with plenty of local specialities. The food was very good with decent portions and I felt fairly good value. Service was fine, I'd definitely eat here again

This restaurant is in the old town amidst quaint alleyways and passages. Searching the area we eventually recognised the restaurant from the Tourist Information photo. Fortunately as we were about to enter, my friend noticed the sign "Dance Exotique". No translation needed. 5 minutes later we found the entrance. It was well worth the effort. It was busy, but the... I can’t speak any more highly of this restaurant. I stumbled onto this place whilst casually walking across the centre of the city. On a Saturday evening, the hostess was gracious enough to accommodate me on a very busy service as the restaurant was fully booked. The restaurant serves French and Luxembourgish cuisine, which I wanted to sample. The courses... More

Firstly this very busy restaurant accommodated us without a reservation for which we were incredibly grateful and then there was the food....beef carpaccioto die for, tuna carpacto that was only eclipsed by the fact that the beef was out of this world, on any other occasion I would be raving about it! Mains could have been a let down after... More

This restaurant is in a handsome old building and is one of maybe two restaurants in town that have regional food (one of the others closed up this summer). I like the food but if you are French or don't like German cuisine you will not enjoy it. It's a nice place to bring visitors. Service and prices are typical... More
