One of the best Indian meals I've ever had

Myself and a work colleague ate here recently - we a mixed starter for both of us followed by chicken jalfrazi and a fish dish (can't remember name) together with plain rice and 2 nan breads. The mixed started consisted of about 8 different types of fried dishes or pakora's all of which were very... read more

The header pretty much sums it up. The lunch offering is a steal, friendly but slow service. Make sure to arrive at noon sharp for lunch and get your order in right away before the kitchen backs up.

we had been here before, and it was always first class; very authentic Indian food, warm family atmosfere, even the customers were nice and friendly. However, this time, the three of us appeared on a Friday night, without booking. The upstairs was full, yet the owner was able to find us a table. Everything looked fine, except that it took... We have tried most of the Indian restaurants in Luxembourg, but this one is really the best - staff is helpful and friendly, food is great and the atmosphere is superb. Always had a table at the first floor though, ground floor might be a bit lonely if its not fully booked.

Food was good. Service was fast which is great for Luxembourg city. The staff was very friendly and the chef on request even made dishes not on the menu. Felt very welcome and food was fresh and not full of colour that some places tend to brush, not too greasy/much either. Reasonable cost too..

We had a wonderful meal with friends at the Appyan. Not only was the food very good but the atmosphere was intimate and the owners made us feel really at home. Having lived in India for some years I was delighted to find an Indian restaurant in Europe where the staff really knew about Indian food and were delighted to... More

Nice food, wonderful service and very friendly owner who could guide you to select your menu (if you are not very sure about Indian cuisine). Tandoori / grilled items are must-try item in Appayan. - Recommended

I lived in Asia for too long to not have certain expectations towards Asian food. For me it's too adapted to European taste buds. Too fade and too typical / standard food is offered. Ambiance is nice, but the location is a bit off.

If you walk past this restaurant you first thing it is a bit tacky, with blinking lights and a bit of a dodgy carpet. The restaurant is split in two halves, downstairs is for events but upstairs is where the regular restaurant is. It is fairly small (seats around 20 tops), very cosy and the people are wonderful. The waiters... More

We went there several time, including New Year's Eve. The staff is friendly, food is really good. And if you like your meal hot, just ask the wait.
