Breakfast Just Right + Winter Buffet Value for Money

Staying in the same hotel, we have our breakfast here. The hotel is not fully occupied; most items will be gone by 8.45. It's Scandinavian breakfast style - bacon, hash brown, beans, sausage, omlette and egg. Wished they serve meatballs. Coffee was nice. Over dinner we had seafood christmas... read more

Had 3 courses and coffee. They started with a delicious appetizer. Wonderful local salmon as a starter, lamb for main and a single scoop of ice for dessert. The lamb was only tender for the 2/3 of the meat and the dessert with too much grained white chocolate giving a too dry taste on palate despite coffee. The service were... More

Saturday evening with friends. Four courses meny is not very good. Halibut fish was tasteless and meat was too raw. Only thing which was good were cheese. Waitress was too young and not very professional. Food was too expensive compare the level of food. Truly disappointing experience.

Had breakfast and dinner there from friday until monday. The first night was great with steak, bearnaise sauce, carrots, asparagus and fries, loved it!. The second night was just fish meals, salmon, clam soup and rhubarb desert... i ordered a pizza! The third night was lamb with carrots and brown sauce and vegetable soup. Breakfast was similar the whole time,... More

Only once or twice a week you can have a dinner fish buffet at a reasonable price and I recommend it. If you are there during other weekdays, you should definitely taste the delicious marinated salmon which has a rich taste. And the cod is very fresh and superb. A Foroya Bjor completes an unforgettable dinner. Price is not cheap... More

We were not staying at the hotel but decided to come here for dinner. Set menu. Delicious salmon starters and wonderful brownie dessert. Really good friendly service and was relatively inexpensive by Faroes standards. Restaurant was busy and people without reservations seemed to be being turned away. Worth booking.

Me and a couple of friends went out for lunch and dicided on Hafnia. I've had good meals there before. Now though they have replaced all the staff. The change is not for the better. It started with the waitor, she didn't give us a wine/drink list and had to come back to ask about the order twice. The food... More

We tried the 4 course menu in the restaurant at Hotel Hafnia in Torshavn and we were certainly not disappointed. Lobster tail, lamb, cheese and cake were on our menu. The service was excellent, good waiter who had answers to all our questions, and who explained the food that was served. We chose the wine menu as well, and it... More

Restaurant is upstairs. Enter by hotel door or via cafe. Decor in cafe is much more interesting and it does burgers but we wanted a main meal. Upstairs decor looks less inspiring but the hot buffet (one price 138 dkk) includes soup, wide range of meats fish veg chips potatoes salad etc and fruit salad or a dessert. Water is... More

My eclipse tour group stayed at the Hafnia Hotel, nicely situated in the downtown area of the Faroe Islands capital city of Torshavn. So we had breakfast five mornings and three free evenings to choose our own restaurants for dinner. I might have ventured out to some of the other good restaurants, but weather, long days of touring, early wake... More

Thank you for your delightful review of our restaurant. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the experience so much, that you kept coming back for more! It is also very heartwarming to read your comments about our staff, who work very hard to create a real "home from home" atmosphere at the restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you back... More
