This is a lovely cafe, and well worth the trouble we had in finding it. Full of local chatter, bustling, good service and brilliant for a light lunch. Excellent coffee, and could have spent an hour just people-watching. And, it's ideally situated between St John's cathedral and The Grand Master's Palace!

Despite it's reputation I must base my review on what I experienced. It was a sunny afternoon in mid-January so I sat outside for a snack. The "special" tuna sandwich was a disgrace coming on pappy white bread with a few crisps on the side and a bit of limp lettuce - and the latte coffee was stone cold -... More

We passed this little gem one evening as they were closing and returned a couple of days later for a coffee and a cake. Watching the other diners have lunch made up drool with envy as the dishes looked delicious. We had plans for later in the evening. We had coffee and pastries and both were delicious. The decor is... If the weather is fine sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere that is Valletta. The service at this restaurant was very good with friendly staff looking after our every need. While the prices are a little expensive the quality of the food more than compensated for us. Relax and enjoy.

After hours of wandering trough Valletta streets and when we were tired of all beauties we've seen we decided to stop for a while. It was pretty cold day but sitting on the sun with excellent pastizzi and a bottle of Maltese wine we didn't feel cold any more. Inside it was too many people so we haven't even consider... More

Searching for a pleasant place for a coffee in the afternoon, we were attracted to the Caffe Cordina by its tempting array of pastries and the long, narrow room with vaulted ceilings which were painted ornamentally. As there were no free tables in the main room, we sat in the annex. It was jammed with tables and plastic chairs, and... More

A cafe latte and a shrivelled up croissant will set you back EU4.95. Although Caffe Cordina has been around since the dawn of time, it is just ok. The prices keep going up. The staff is quite nice but for what they offer they are very pricey!

We called in for the famous ice cream. The room is lovely Ary Nouveau style, the waiter was very attentive and sociable. Also had a Tia Maria coffee, it was delicious. Well worth a visit, goof location

Cordina is one of the oldest cafés in Malta and walking into the place and looking up at the frescos will surely prove that to anyone.
