Like other reviewers you cannot fault the views, but after that this place doesn't have much going for it. Shoddy furniture, surly staff, warm drinks and toilets from the 1960's. It is on the way to the ferry though so you can sit and watch for the ferry to leave Sliema and then wander down to catch it from Valletta.

I have to agree with most of the previous reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine, beer and snacks here and the wonderful breeze to cool you down from the heat of Maltas summer but it is quite basic and the toilets certainly well below the standards that most people would expect. However, the views are amazing and we would happily... More

I can not comment on the food as we only called in for a drink & ice cream. We had a fresh orange juice, small bear, hot drink & the ice cream. The juice was nearly as warm as the hot drink, it still had the pips in it. The Oranges are stored in a tray behind the counter, unlike... More

This is a WW11 gunpost with outdoor seating only, it is a "no-frills" cafe/restaurant but the views must be among the best of all Valletta restaurants. We ate here many times during our holiday, the food is traditional Maltese and home-cooked. The lampuki & chips is the best we have had, and the home made ravioli is delicious and so... More

If you want a friendly place that the Maltese like to visit for a tipple you can't go wrong with this place. Has a great view over the harbour. They are that friendly that when my girlfriend got a blister on her foot and I asked if I could call a taxi they drove us back to the hotel!

For the stunning view of the sea. My favorite cafe in Valetta (where I live few weeks per year) for a drink or for the diner (excellent home made raviolis) Relax, friendly with tourists and Maltese... Very cheap.

This is a very basic outside bar with reasonable prices for both food & drink. The real attraction for this bar is the brilliant views of the harbour. The only downside are the toilets which are extremely basic and need to be completely gutted and new facilities installed.

Lovely place in front of manoel's island and Sliema bay. Very suggestive and minimalist location, with several WWII masks, bombs helmets and bullets

This is a nice place with a great view and also a nice breeze to cool you down. The food is also good. With the maltese traditional food being the best. Their chips are delicous and probably the best on the island

Valletta can be stifling hot, but the Gun Post Snack Bar, set high about the sea, offers a cool breeze and some of the best views in Valletta overlooking Sliema, Manoel Island and the harbours. This no frills, inexpensive bar offers excellent food and cold beers with friendly family service. It is worth hunting out.
