Ambrosia is a welcoming and cozy restaurant in a central location. You won't get a menu, rather you'll see the dishes written up on a chalk board - and there's plenty to choose from. Our meals were excellently prepared, plentiful and delicious. The wine list was extensive with reasonable prices. We were here for dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere, the... More

Food was cooked to perfection, we had the goats cheese souffle and asparagus salad to start, both lovely, light and fresh. For mains the veal milanese was melt in your mouth delicious and the veal cutlet was extremely tender and came very well presented with tasty vegetables on the side. Highly recommended, great staff and lovely family who run the... More

Hard to tell from the street but it's nice inside. I wasn't too hungry and just had the prawn risotto, my wife had rabbit. It was very good, service was good too

I hadn't visited Ambrosia in years - and to be honest, my experience there had been a good one. The atmosphere and decor have changed considerably since. It's darker and gloomier although quite cosy. I had forgotten that they had no menus, just daily specials listed on a board. It was very difficult finding something which wasn't too heavy to... More

If you are looking for a good lunch, Ambrosia can be a choice that will not disappoint you. Had to opportunity to experience their good food but would like to see a better selection for vegetarians.

A very pleasant restaurant and reasonable prices. Quaint decor. Food was excellent, I can recommend the lamb shank which was excellent while my wife says the chicken with red fruits was one of the best meals she has ever had. I can recommend the local merlot, very drinkable if somewhat lacking in body. Even the service was good although it... More

We chose this restaurant having walked past it in Archbishop Street (a very useful street with some great looking restaurants) and read the reviews. It wasn't too busy the evening we were there, but we were well looked after, it was a very good looking place with interesting furniture and effects. the menu seemed a little restricted, it was written... Dining here twice during our stay in Valetta, the first time we had rabbit, which we really liked, the second time we ordered veal, which was less enjoyable. Nevertheless I would recommend this Lonely Planet recommended restaurant - but you do need to book in advance. Many of the best restaurants in Valetta are small & it is therefore difficult... More
