The worst experience ever !!!! The staff was pompous, unprofessional, unfriendly, extremely rude . First off, when arriving at the restaurant at 1:30 pm my 8 year old son fell off the stairs at the entrance of the restaurant and hurt himself , the waiter was inside watching us and did not even move to see if we were ok... The setting offers a little oasis of tranquility on the terrace with a great view of the main gate and walls. Our waiter was charming and attentive and other diners were mixed business people and tourists. The menu sounded enticing but it's favours were old fashioned and lacked depth. Fish broth was clear and followed a Maltese tradition but wasn't... More

Went here for lunch with family/friends. The venue is very attractive and decorated in good taste. The service was good and the food was very good. Simple menu, and moderately priced too.

The atmosphere and the service are exceptionally good. Food is also good however a little bit pricey for the quality you get.

This was a disappointing experience, one from which we were expecting much, much better. The problem wasn't the food, which was mostly OK, bits not quite so good, other bits excellent. Broad bean soup with pieces of chargrilled octopus was tasty, but not warm enough. Slow-cooked pork shoulder, frazzled under the grill was fine, but the accompanying sauce was cloying... More

I was recommended here by the Osborne Hotel. Thank you. The fish, Red Snapper, was tasty and moist, and well served. The starter of Salmon Tartare was excellent. Price wise they were correct and the selection of Malta wines was good. No hesitations in recommending this one.

We were staying at the Excelsior and asked the ladies in reception if we were to go out for a nice mid range meal, where would they recommend. They told us the Rampila. We chanced our luck and walked there without a reservation. The restaurant was half full and so they fitted us in. Service was super attentive. The bread... More
