Mouth-watering Maltese!

This restaurant specialises in Maltese cuisine and is ALWAYS packed out! Make sure you reserve or you'll miss out on something really good. A very helpful waitress, Pauline, patiently explained the 'Specials' on the menu; and made recommendations according to your taste. The meal was very tasty....braggio, rabbit stew, lamb stew....there were three of us...and the portions were HUGE. The... More

We had the maltesian plate for ap etizer (enough for 2 persons), the rabbit, good wine and the ice cake with unspeakable name =) Very friendly people and acceptable prices. You should reserve, it is crowded. Have fun!

Very good food in a very reasonable prices. We had the rabbit which was great, seafood risotto (a little bit too much lemon for my taste) and some pasta. You can see that's a family place with fresh ingredients and good money value. Service was ok too, I don't like waiters coming to my table and asking five times if... More

The evening after the marathon, all walking a bit strangely, we made it up the steps to the lovely friendly restaurant. There were about 12 of us and we had one long table which was perfect. The menu is extensive, ranging in everything from local fish, rabbit, through to spare ribs. Something for everyone..and then some! Wine menu extensive, service... More

The platter as a starter was typically maltese and the portions were very generous indeed. As for main courses the stuffed chicken along with the mash was divine and the rest of the table took rib eyes and they were all very good. The staff was very polite and helpful. The only slight negative comment that I can pass is... More

This busy restaurant just off the main street in Sliema has quite a reputation for traditional Maltese food. On my early evening visit the starter of local cheese fried in nut crumb was gorgeous, great mix of crisp outside and soft melting cheese. My main course of beef olives is another Maltese standard, very rich and meaty flavours, accompanied with... More

We stumbled across this gem on a damp windy February evening. It was very busy, but we were quickly found a tables. Service was exemplary and friendly. The food was excellent, with a home cooked feel, I tried local traditional dishes, spaghetti with rabbit sauce and bragioli which were full of flavour and very filling - huge portions, but there... Went there on a Saturday night a while ago. The food and service were excellent, everything on the menu including the wine was reasonably priced. However the restaurant itself is quite small. The place was packed and very noisy and we ended sitting at a small table for two outside in the alley. All in all a very good experience.... More
